Hi! I have had quite a few people ask where I got my stamp pad holders that are in my craft area (see my gallery for pix). They are actually DVD holders from IKEA. I have provided a link to them here:

The ribbon shelf is actually a shelf from Michaels in the unfinished wood section. I bought a dowel that would fit in the holes of my spools-5/8 I think. My DH then drilled a hole in each support so that I could slide the dowel rod thru. Just make sure that you put it out far enough from the wall side that the ribbon spools have room. The best way is set the shelf on end, lay a large ribbon spool on the support and mark the middle hole.

I love those Stakebo things but the closest Ikea is 8hrs away and the stakebo is not available on-line. Boo Hoo!!!
I think that you can do a phone order thru IKEA for them too. (800) 434-4532- I could be wrong though but it's worth a try.

I was in Ikea a couple of weeks ago looking for these - I couldn't find them - I really need pad storage!
They're hard to find, but worth it. They are not with the entertainment section with the rest of the DVD holders. They are in the home organization area. Just be sure to get the DVD holder, not the CD holder.

They look awesome in your stamp room. Do they hold them straight or are they at a bit of an angle? Hard to tell from the photo whether they were straight or not.
These are pretty neat! I'll have to consider them for my new stamping room!

I think I need to find more walls in my stamp room. I just don't know where they are! I'm putting up the rain gutters for my ribbon and that will fill the only wall space by my stamping table. HMMM....Unless I think about the closet door.
You all will be glad to know that I have single handedly created a monster here. I called IKEA customer direct orders and asked if there was any way that they could sell these besides in the store. She said no, that they were only available in the stores and that the stores in the US had been completely innundated with requests for these holders. I let her off the hook and explained why everyone was wanting them . I also apologized for creating such havoc. She said they were actually happy, they have had so many requests. Too funny huh?

They are actually so straight you could set walls by them. I used a level, side and top and bottom to hang them. Normally I would just eyeball them, however when I got them I had just gotten over vertigo and did not have a choice. I could barely walk straight, much less eyeball them.

I was at IKEA for the first time in November. I knew about these and looked at them but didnt' buy any. I use an old wooden cassette holder (it's great); but my kids got so many new DVD's for Christmas, I wish I would have bought some for their original use! I may have to make a trip back to IKEA to get some!

I've wanted them for AGES! No fair... there's no IKEA near me, nor is there one near any place I travel to. I just checked their website however, and see there's an Orlando store slated for "coming soon"... not soon enough if you ask me!
ARGHHH! That's why they didn't have them when I went! Only in US stores, that is so dumb!
You can order stuff online (in Canada anyway) and have it shipped so can you do that in the US too?

Yes, you can order online in the US, but they don't sell this item in their online catty.
