When I was in my local stamp store recently, I saw a demo of this product. It is meant to replace Heat & Stick powder or glue! You stamp in the "ink" and heat set it. Then you add glitter, gold leafing, Pearl Ex, or whatever! I absolutely HATE using Heat & Stick powder and will be buying this new pad as soon as I am back near my stamping store. They had just gotten it in and couldn't sell one to me yet (just had one to try out in-store).
That is awesome. I bought some of that Heat & Stick powder from SU over a year ago and still have not used it. I just think it's more work than it's worth. I'm sure it's great but the process aggravates me. Maybe it's just me. I hope Michaels will carry it. Thanks for sharing.
nuttnhoney, I love your avatar too. That cute little face cracks me up.
I never ordered the Heat and Stick because I thought it was too much of a pain to use -- hate those extra steps! I would definitely buy this! Any word on possible pricing?

This is totally cool. I love all the stuff companies are coming out with, like this one, and the paper you print from your inkjet that comes out looking metallic, and the paper you print from your inkjet you can use embossing powder on, etc. I'm getting myself excited!
Anyhoo, if anyone finds out where to get this glue pad, please don't wait one second and let us all know.
Okay, out with the H&S.....in with *ANYTHING* that:
a) doesn't smell like putrefacted food (you're right on the $$$ with that one, Kimberly!!!);
b) doesn't take like boocoo steps to do;
c) doesn't have to be done after 9p because there is *no way* my kids will ever know I own a heat gun, okay?;
d) can be stored vertically with the rest of my stamp pads instead of a cool, dry place, hidden away from my boys....
and Kim:
*LOVE* the Avatar...I laugh out loud each and every time I see it...
and your website *ROCKS*!!! ~ K

you know, it figures I just ordered some Heat & Stick, and now that I see what everyone has to say about it, I don't know if I want it!!! It should be arriving next Thursday...oh boy...can't wait now...too bad I didn't see this post a few days ago!!!
I'm looking forward to more information on this one! I've never tried the heat & stick, but I've used my 2-way glue pen on my stamps and applied it to paper. It just doesn't come out that great.
I actually do not mind using the heat and stick powder. It isn't any more difficult than heat embossing, just don't heat it too long.
Can't you just make your own glue pad by using a foam pad and that PPA (Perfect Paper Adhesive)? Of course, you would have to have an enclosure for it so it wouldn't dry up.....guess the new pad is the way to go!

And yes...the H&S stinks. Thanks for the decriptive scent...now I won't be able to use that suff w/out thinking of THAT (no barfing emoticon)
Looks like it wokrs on "coated paper and other surfaces" so I think they are just advertising that it will work on a coated paper. I'm sure it works on all paper.
i LOVE heat & stick! especially after years of using spray adhesive and glitter! but this stuff looks GREAT!!!!! any thoughts about cleaning it off your stamps? i get a little freaked out about the thought of an adhesive on my stamps! and what will it do if i clean my stamps on my scrub pad, then put my scrub pad in the dishwasher? will the heat activate the "adhesive" and muck up my scrub pad? just wondering ahead before we play with this!

Do you really put your scrub pad in the dishwasher? Someone on another post said that it messed hers up doing that and then she put it in the oven to dry it and cooked it well done.
