I actually never been to a SU! party!!!!!! I have tons of their stuff and love it! I just order through my DH's boss's wife, who sells it. BUT....I am hostessing my first party on Tuesday!!!! Yippee!!!
Oh my goodness Karen I can't believe you have never been to a party! I wonder if there are others on SCS like you? I will admit though that I had purchased SU products prior to attending my first party. So, maybe it isn't all that uncommon. Enjoy it and let us know how it went.
I had intended on attending 2 demonstration's that a friend was hostessing and although I ordered, something came up at the last minute for both demonstrations with unexpected out of town family visiting and I was unable to attend. My stuff sat unused for nearly 2 years before I finally figured out how to use it.
Now that I'm on a roll, you can't get me to QUIT stamping on stuff. I even signed up as a new demo late May and am having a blast and learning ALL sorts of things here to share with my gals when I do a demo.
Have a GREAT time at your demonstration and I hope you get lots of free hostess stuff!

I had never been to a demo, never even heard of SU... when I met my now upline at a craft fair. I had stamped for years... well, I thought I was stamping... it was pretty sad compared with what I now do! I was so impressed I signed up on the spot!
Oh, Karen, you'll have a blast! I pray you'll have a $350. party so you'll get the extra $25.00 of spending money! Just a warning, once you start hostessing parties, you'll want to support your habit by being a demonstrator...
I am from Canada, so I have to have $525 in sales! Let's hope!!! I just had a friend tell me she can't come now and she was going to bring her mom! Ahhh! I still have at least 8 people coming, so that's still pretty good! I will let you all know what happens!
My first time as a hostess was a great success, for both myself and the demo! I had $820 in sales (Canadian) and there were three bookings plus a gal signed up as a demo!
I've never attended one either. Was introduced by my now-upline Val. Started when I joined a Yahoo group she was in.....she asked me if I stamped and offered to send some info.

Hopefully my demo-ship doesn't cost me my mortgage payment every month...LOL...

I am dying to know who is doing your party! I live in Calgary, but most of my upline and sidelines are in Red Deer. They are such a great group of women, I hope that you are with one of them. Although, whoever you are with you will have a great time!
I actually signed up as a demo without ever going to a workshop. I had never even stamped before! I planning on signing up with CM, when I found SU on Ebay of all places. I ordered a catalog and fell in love with the stuff right away. My good friend had just recently moved to Red Deer, her next door neighbour had a party, she signed up the next day to be a demo, and I signed up under her the next week. I have loved every minute of it since then. In the last 9 months I have been to Regionals in Edmonton and Convention in Orlando. Now I am working on getting enough recruits to go to Leadership in St. Louis!
Have fun at your workshop on Tuesday. I'm sure your demo will wow you with all the fun new things SU has to offer!

My demo's name is Janine. She is my hubby's boss's wife! I should just tell her to take so much off his checks every month for SU! stuff, since I order stuff from her all the time! I don't think hubby would like that too much, although......it might save money in the end, right???!!!

karen - they say admitting the problem is the first step to a cure! Soon you'll be having monthly parties, and then after about um... one of those you'll sign up!
Ok....here goes.....I had 8 people come tonight!!!! Whoo hoo! I had about 350 Cdn or so in sales....not bad! Got $30 worth of free stuff! I choose "Birthday Best" (was torn between that and festive 4) For my $30 I got 3 stamp pads and assorted cs in Earth elements. My demo said that I should have enough from this quarter to get the hostess appreciation set. So I'd say that is pretty good for my first party. Everyone had fun and loved to see how EASY it is!! So thanx to all of you for sharing your enthusiasm with me!!!!
