Crafters Tool Kit
Ok, so I'm thinking AGAIN about getting this. I like the concept but I always blanch at the price....maybe because I already have everything but the paper piercing template etal. Do you have it? Do you like it? What do you use the most? Pros/cons, any input....
I'm really not usually so wishy-washy!
Thanks

I was back and forth about buying it also because of the price. I then went to my upline's and used her's. It was then that I decided I had to have it. It is the best for evenly spacing eyelets, holes for stitching, threading ribbon, etc. The quality is great as well. I had an old eylet setter kit that wasn't near as good quality as this one. I would say if you have the extra $$, it is worth it
I like mine. The fact that it all zips into one container was a huge plus!! I can also put extra things in the outside pocket. I had the making memories kit and I sold it to help pay for the SU one. I use the paper piercing tool to make holes for brads. I also use it to unclog my crystal effects. I like that the pad fits in the container. When I was using the MM one, I had a small Pampered Chef cutting board that I would use for pounding on. I would use a rubber band to keep it attached to the other box when not in use. HTH

Thanks for the headsup, but if I buy any, it will be SU. Even though it is more expensive, it has the paper piecing (which is what I don't have) and I am a demo so I probably really should have it.....okay, okay, I just talked myself out of $40!

i just ordered mine for the same reasons! it sucks to duplicate what i already have, but it will be nice to have extras of the common tools.

Tool kit
I am not a demo, but the two items I use every time I stamp without fail are the cleaning pad and the tool kit. I have had it since my DD got it for me for Christmas and havd used it a ton. I love it and would be lost trying to stamp without it now. I had most of what was in it before too, but just having it all together and they are all good quality items. I added a needle threader(for getting those fibers through the eyelets!) and pencil and I have everything I need to stamp. I am more organized and have way less mess when I stamp now! Great product
I really love that everything is neatly packaged together and I'm not searching for tools. I have played with the paper piercing tool a bit and I like it, although I have to be in a patient frame of mind for it. I love the template, too. My only problem was with the hammer. The head of the hammer came off last week. I also have a new recruit who ordered it and received it just 2 weeks ago, and her hammer broke. SU replaced them very quickly, and the new one seems to be a bit better secured.
I really really like the quality of the tools and the case. The fact that it zips up is huge for me. I love the fact that my girls can't get into it because of the sharp tools (my MM one was easily accessible by my girls--dangerous). Plus if you are a demo--people see it and love it and then they buy it.
Here is another example of something that at first I thought, "I don't need it." As I started getting into stamping, I wondered, "Does it work good?" "Maybe I'll get by okay with out it."
Now my thoughts are more like "I think I need something better than what I have."
Then today I stumble upon this post. I'm thinking, "I think I need that tool set."
My catalog is always next to me at the computer desk so I can look up stamp sets and papers, etc when I'm on this site.
Maybe if I didn't have it so close, I wouldn't have such a long list of "NEEDS."
I LOVE my tool kit! yes I have a few duplicated items, but w/ this they all fit in one place, and I can demo it with no guilt. and I didn't have a eyelet template, or a mat to go under my paper piercer, or the needles, or the larger anywhere hole punch. this has so many great tools! I say it's a must have for everyone that likes eyelets!

The hammer is HORRIBLE in my opinion. It is too light weight. Luckily my DH is a Ford Technician and brought me home a heavy duty Snap On Tools hammer. Now I feel like a real "wo-MAN" when I'm stampin!!
I love mine. I do have extras, I bought the eyelet tool kit long before I bought the crafters tool kit. But now I keep my "extras" in my tool kit along with my hobby blade (out of the tube of couse) I also keep my paper popper in it between the handles of the pliars.
It is so handy for demoing, if I want to demo eyelets I have the small pad insead of taking my cutting mat to do demos. I even keep my blade replacements for my fiskars cutter in the pocket on the outside.
I am very happy I bought it!
Well worth the investment. The case is really durable and everything is in one spot. It is easy to take with you and nothing gets lost. I absolutely love the little cutting mat and the paper piercing tool. It is alot of fun. You won't regret it.
