Default Do I need winged things?

Those of you who have winged things are you loving it? using it alot? I didn't like in full bloom till I started seeing all the cute cards done with it. So now I'm wondering about this one. Darn SCS, I'm running out of room. Talk me out of it if you can.

This is such a great set! I didn't like it at first but now it seems to find its way onto every card I make!

Earlier this week someone made mention that we're all a bunch of enablers on here, how very true! Of course you HAVE to buy it. I have this set and I have used it a lot.

Default winged things

I wasn't going to get Winged Things -- it didn't even make my "wish list" for the spring catalog.
And then what happened? My demo sent me a reminder card for the March specials using this set - BAM! I had to have it!
I was not interested in the set before because I had only seen cards where the "bugs" were all fussy colored....I have several butterfly stamps already that I don't use because I never know what colors to use. My demo avoided that argument all together - she made a clean contemporary card by stamping the bug in Ruby Red on US vanilla and mounting it on a RR and then putting that on a larger crimped craft tan panel backed with Mellow Moss panel -- tied a green grosgrain ribbon in a knot to hold it together and put that on top of RR panel with versamarked bugs ....Classy, clean and NO COLORING!
Buy this set even if you've got other "bugs" - the double line drawing really lifts it out of the ordinary!

I use my all the time. It is great set for the quick and easy cards. I just uploaded one to the gallery. I don't know how to put it here, otherwise I would. I love this set. Must have. I've already had four of my customers buy it too.

Default card from demo

Dawn,
Dang! I knew someone would ask me to upload the card -- ARRGGG! Now I'm going to have to learn how to do it (can you hear me banging my head on the desk top as I'm typing this?)
I will up load the card when I figure out how ( gee, that sounds kind of slippery ...gives me some "wriggle" room..)
RR was my shorthand for Ruby Red (which I mentioned earlier in the post). As I read it, it could also mean Rose Romance, or Ruggedly Rusty -- opps, I made that last one up! I get a kick out of the rhyming names that SU comes up with for colors...unfortunately there are no short-cut names for them, and I just proved this by using initials that didn't make any sense
Be patient with me, please, I'm a work in progress! (The card is fantastic and my demo is clever which you will see for yourself WHEN I learn how to upload )
Susy

Hey Susy, on second thought- maybe you shouldn't upload that card... I was searching for ideas for my demo make n take Friday night and I just decided on what I will do, so if you post your card now I just might have to change my whole make n take project, hence creating more work for me! LOL!! (psst: but I'd still love to see it... get that scanner working!LOL!!)

Default Winged Things

I agree, Winged Things and In Full Bloom are complimentary.

I must be the only one on the planet who does not think that either one is a must have...

When in doubt, rule it out.

I think that winged things is the best butterfly set that SU has come out with. I really like the fact that it coordinates with In Full Bloom. I personally don't have either yet, but I will soon.

I can't give you a reason NOT to get it. But somewhere on this site, someone posted that perhaps the set would get into the new catalog b/c it has a matching wheel. So it seemed like it had a better chance of making it in the catalog.

So that's what I'm hoping for. I am new to stamping and can not get everything that I'd like, all at once.

Plus, that's how I talked my mom into waiting for it too.

Hope we aren't disappointed later.

Dawn- my guess is... I think you're safe to wait... it seems like a "keeper" set for SU's next catty

Cher,
Although I've seen some really cute cards with it, and the same with In Full Bloom, I have no desire to get either of them. If you already have In Full Bloom and actually use it, I would say get Winged Things. If you don't have IFB or don't use it, the style probably doesn't suit you and you don't need it!

I don't need it and don't regret not having it! Does that help at all?

I just ordered it, should be here Monday....I wasn't sure if I wanted it at first, but then my upline also gave me a great card using it and IFB is one of my favorite sets!!
I am also pretty sure it will be in the next catty since all the managers got it at leadership.
