Default Guess what I did, tsk, tsk, tsk

Well as I saw the color challenges, I thought, hmm maybe I will give that a try, until I realized that I sorted all of my SU paper by color! I have no idea of what color is what color. What a doof! I can hear my demo laughing now. Too make it worse I can't remember what groups of paper I have. Seemed like a good idea in the beginning...
Oh well, does anyone else do this, and should I fix it back?

I do this, too, but they are all in their own hanging file with a file label that's a piece of the CS and it's name printed on it. I have a sample ring so I could figure out which colors were which because I got confused, too...

This is why I bought one of those keyring cardstock things off E#&@. I was having the worst time telling between blush and one of the pinks...also the blues were a nightmare for me.

There are reputable websites that sell the CS ring. Southern Goose is one of them. YOu can buy a ring and match your colors or you can buy hanging folder inserts to help you sort everything. Good luck!!

Or, invite your demo over to figure it out. What a challenge!

oooh I like the invite the demo over, actually we are going away for the weekend to a crop. I could just tell her I have a project and bring it with, lol

I have somewhere, one of those color wheel things. I guess I could start with that.

Default colors

I have my colors separated in folder as well with the color name and then I put an "r" for regals, "s" for sutble, etc.

I had some problems with the pinks - but I separated them during the daylight hours and used the catalog - had no problem going by that.

I am a demo, and I was having the same problem. If you have a 2003-2004 SU catalog, turn to the page in the back where all the colors are. The color samples are larger than the new one, and really pretty acurate. Just hold your cardstock up to the book, put each color in a gallan zip-lock and label it with a sharpie pen. This is what I did. Now, to prevent further problems, I slip any new cardstock immediately in to a zip-lock and label it. I finally have my cardstock all organized. If you do not have the 2003-2004 catalog, ask your demo if she has one you can borrow, or purchase a color wheel from SU.

Just wanted to let you know that a demonstrator on ebay sells the pieces of cardstock with the names of them printed on it, a friend bought some for me to put in my file folders, but I am not sure who she got them from. This was the best solution for me! Hope this helps. Good Luck! Tammy

As a demo I had a difficult time telling the colors apart for a short time. I figured out the best solution for me was to write to color on the package as soon as I received the order. Then when I take a few minutes to put things away I take the large logo cello bags we can buy from our supplies listing and put each color in one of those bags. I then take my label maker and put the color and the item number on the front of the bag. This also helps to know when I need to re-order any colors and I have the number right there too. It also helps me keep the cardstock from collecting any dust. I also find this an easy way for me to keep any scraps of cardstock organized right with the rest of my cardstock.

I would suggest getting one of those cardstock rings off of dreaded Ebay to help you sort! I love having it anyway! I use it all the time for picking color and matching. Then just mark your pages somehow and you wouldn't have to put them back in their groups...

This is how I organize mine to in hanging files with the name of the color on it so I know when I have to order more of that color. I also have a color ring. Unfortunately over the years that I've been buying SU cardstock, sometimes the colors are off (and sometimes a lot off).
