Can I just tell you all that I am kicking myself in the behind right now!! I just saw that set in the store last week and stood there debating for about 5 minutes and decided to be strong and not buy it cause I'd just spent $100 at my SU party. After reading this thread last night and seeing some REALLY cute examples, I have been on the phone all day to our local stores trying to locate and can't ! I guess you always want what you can't have! (It reminds me of the goofy beanie babies at their peak! You'd be on the phone all day and drive around a ton just to find that "special" one ) I'm holding out to use the 40% off coupon! I WILL FIND IT

I am going to have to find this!! Does anyone know if JoAnn's carries hero arts? Archivers is a good 30-40 min from me!!
Is the set just called ribbons and stitches? (so i know what to ask for if I call them)

Thanks!

Yes, JoAnn's carries Hero Arts, but I have not seen this set at my local store. I would call first. All else fails go to one of the websites mentioned that carries Hero Arts.

I just tried viewing this and it told me I didn't have permission. Is this part of the fan club??

Just checking!

I just sat down to play with them today & thought I'd check online for inspiration....& noticed this thread... anyway wanted to share this cool tip:

When you use the zigzag stamp, use a hatpin (thicker type pin) & poke holes at every point -

it will look like real stitching !

Airborne Wife,

Thanks for that link! That *is* a really good price on the ribbon stamps! I ordered mine from Stampin Memories for $18.00 and the shipping was $3.85 Priority Mail:

http://stampinmemories.safeshopper.c...at2194.htm?662

This website has great customer service - awhile back, I ordered the Hero ARts catalog (before I was into SU) and it came with a $5 coupon to use on a future purchase of stamps. So I actually got my Ribbons set for $13 plus shipping. I'm waiting anxiously for it to arrive!

I wish SU would come up with something like this!

Nope, not a secret club: it's the Dirty Dozen Gallery, just a little extra "thank you" if you contribute $20.00 to help support this site.

After doing my Easter cards I have decided that this is the best purchase on a set of stamps I have ever made. I lie awake thinking of wonderful things to do with this set. I do wish they had made them longer though!!

Default ribbon stamps

I guess I better educate myself here. Do you stamp these ribbon images and THEN cut them out? I saw a couple of cute cards, but then in looking closer it looks like it may be nore work than buying the actual ribbon. Am I look at these wrong?

You could do that but I would just use real ribbon if it came down to that. They make wonderful borders, frames and coordinate with the real thing so very well! You can stamp a red gingham ribbon down the side of your card and attach a real bow that matches. They just lend themselves to so many creative things.

Default ribbon stamps

Thanks Dot2Dot. I guess I sounded a little stupid there. I looked at the example and thought about and said to myself, "What was I thinking???" Duh! Wake up, Hope.

Can't wait to get my stamps now!

If you all see any more neat stamps that I really need, let me know.

Ok, this little thread convinced me I needed that Ribbon set! I just ordered it, so hopefully it won't be too long before it comes in.

I have just the card in mind that could use a little "ribbon" embellishment.

By the way, I just now, this very second, figured out what "belly" meant. I've seen it on some swap posts around and wondered what it was!"

I found out last week from one of the ribbon stamp set forums that www.heroartsstamps.com has the set for $16.00. I ordered it! Orders over $20 the shipping is free. Orders under are $2.50. There was no tax added. The clincher is the processing time....it may take over two weeks to get it. I am patiently waiting. So, if your more into saving money than overnight express, then this is a great site. Total cost for set $18.50.....not bad. Patience is a virtue......still working on virtue.

I ordered from HA Thursday and it came today with some wonderful idea sheets.

The box was in a glassine envelope with a darling sample card enclosed.

I took the card out wondering if it was a front or not. It was a full card, but stamped upside down!

gbedwright - I also ordered from heroartsstamps but missed the $16 sale. I got it for $18, but it was still cheaper from them with shipping than to get it directly from Hero Arts.

Now, I'm waiting, too! Hope both of ours come in soon!

Woo-Hoo! My set just arrived in this morning's mail. Check e-bay too girls, I got mine for $17.99 (buy it now) + $2.85 shipping. Since most of the sites had if for about $20-ish, I thought that was pretty good. I wasn't able to access the $16 price on Hero Arts. Can't wait to play! Now I have great Easter card ideas! (a little LATE) Last week I was totally stumped.

I just got back from Easter vacation. What was the first call I made this morning......Yup, our local Robert's Craft store to see if they had the ribbon stamp in yet!!! They didn't, but I talked to the buyer and she indicated that she has that set on order and took my name and number and said she'd call me when it arrives!! That is another option for all you ladies out there that want to use a 40% off coupon and have a bit of patience!!
