Default A Request Regarding Subject Headings

I love reading everyone's posts but don't have time to read every single thing that is posted, particularly when the site (or my computer) is running slow. I look at the subject heading to see if the post is a question I could help with or an issue that I am interested in. It would be sooo helpful if people could use a complete & descriptive subject heading!!

There's plenty of room to let people know what your post is about - and if your subject heading says "Question about versamark resist technique" instead of "A Question...." you're bound to get more responses!

I'm not aiming this at any particular post or person and please don't take this as criticism - just a request for your consideration.

I agree. I only Read current conversations that I am intrested in. If its a non descriptive subject header I skip right by it as most times I am personally not intrested in that subject.

I sooooooo agree with you!!!!!
It's sooooo much easier when people put at least some kind of clue in the subject line as to what the thread is about.

I have another request to piggyback onto this one -- so we don't have nine different threads every week all asking the same question, could we agree to look through the first couple of pages or run a quick search before starting a new thread? With the recent site glitches due to the upgrades, this has been happening much more frequently. It's a pretty safe bet that most questions have been asked before, and when info is needed in a hurry this is better than waiting for someone to read and respond to the post.

And not to hijack this thread either, but knowing all that's going on with the SCS site and servers, we probably don't need messages that point out the problems accessing the boards or galleries. It usually takes a while to stabalize a server after major changes and I would bet Daven knows all about it

Ditto to everything above-and can I also request when you are doing an ISO for one set in the BST area to put the name of the set in the title? More likely to get lookers that way.

AND a reminder that if you have multiple sets for sale to PUT THEM IN ONE MESSAGE-not a separate message for each one-it is easier for people to see if you put Many Sets for Trade and then include a wishlist.

While you may think "I will trade for almost anything" makes it easier, inevitably there are some things you would rather have, so it is easier to put those in upfront, like, "I will trade for cardstock, pearl ex, grosgrain ribbon, or any types of paper."
It helps people focus on what they might have to trade
