I promised an easier challenge this week that everyone can play so here it is! Lately I have been really intrigued with scrapbooking layouts and ideas...there are just the most fabulous ideas in scrapbooking magazines that can inspire creative new ideas for cardmaking. This week, take a look at some scrapbook layouts, either in a scrapbooking magazine or in your SU catalogue. Take a layout or concept and make it your own by using it in a card design. Please list the magazine and page number of the original layout as it would be cool to check them both out if we happen to have that magazine as well. I know it is a crazy busy time of year...please don't feel pressured to finish today...you have all week or longer!
For an example...here is a card I did in July from a scrapbook layout in this years catalogue... Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Please remember to put WT92 in your keywords section and post a link back here. WE all would love to see your work.
I also would like to take this time to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and holiday season! Thanks so much for your support this past year. Thanks for playing along in the WT challenge and for bearing with me when things have been too crazy to keep up. Thanks soooo much to all who sent me Christmas cards...I'll be personally responding to them all when I get the chance. I feel quite terrible that I have only been able to send out cards to a handful of people.
Have a safe and wonderful Christmas with those you love,
Julia
No way I'm THIS early for the challenge! Thanks Julia for all you do for SCS and us. You help us grow in our skills and love for this craft. Have a Merry Christmas and a wonderful new year.

This is a really neat challenge. I love the card you did. Don't know if I'll get to play or not. I'm making a couple scrapbook pages today for my GSin-law to give him for Christmas. I am also doing compostion books and paint cans. Hope you have a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year.

Merry Christmas to you also, Julia. I have not figured out how you manage your family and still get all this stamping done - to say nothing of keeping us on our toes with challenges. My New Year's resolution is to really try to get each challenge done! At any rate, may you have the time to enjoy yur family and the holidays - and a most blessed New Year to you.
Well, I thought this was gonna be a dumb challenge, but as it turned out, it made me stop, look and think and is a very smart challenge - thanks, Julia - once again you made me put on my thinking cap - I'm not a scrapper, but made me see some of the pictures in the catalog in a new way. Hope you and yours have a wonderful Christmas and a very Happy New Year. Thanks for all your hard work to spur us on!!
Merry Celebration

this looks like a great challenge! I have been trying to incorporate more interesting layers in my cards and having a hard time of it--I really think that this challenge will help me out! I have to get my house cleaned up before I can stamp anything, busy day ahead, but even if I don't get this one done today, I am sure going to do it soon! Thanks, Julia!
Well, I'm not a scrapper, but Vicky said she wasn't either -- so I'll give it a shot. Will have to wait till I get home from work though. Thanks, Julia, for making me think outside my normal box!
Oh, my goodness, this took way too long! Must be why I don't scrapbook! I'm glad I picked my favorite colors and a stamp set that is easy to work with or I probably wouldn't be done yet. But, all said, I absolutely love the result. Here's find joy.
Oh, what a fun challenge, Julia. I got my February Creating Keepsakes magazine yesterday and hadn't opened it because I've been busy with Christmas stuff. Thanks for giving me a reason to pop it open!l
Here is my card - not too impressed :(. Shoulsn't have used the punch, and the doodling doesn't fit for me. Oh well, always learning!! Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
I enjoyed this challenge...I haven't had any time in a few months to complete a challenge! I loved the scrapbook sample on pg. 69 of the catalog, and I think it makes a good card. It could have been better, but I think the finished product is okay. :-)
I'm not a scrapper, so it took me a little while to figure out my inspiration. Found one on page 122 of the SU catalog. Hope you like it. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
