I broke down and bought the Girl's are Wierd Sizzlits aplahbet set. I figured it would be good for cards and scrapbooking and I have that font on my computer so if I wanted to print something to go with it I could.
It was crazy there and the lines were so long. But while I was in line I noticed a whole bunch of $1 stamps I hadn't seen before. Graduation cap, sand dollar, golf ball, sayings like "Fun in the Sun" and "Gone to the Beach", a car, ice cream cone, etc. I think I wound up with almost 10 of them. Talk about impulse buying!
I know what you mean. I bought 11 of those things. Around 12:55 the lines were getting so long. They ended up going around the store and initialing everyones 50% off coupons with a perm. marker. That allowed you to shop more (which is what they wanted) and still use your coupon.
Oh man our Mike's was PACKED today. Women pushing & shoving... I mean don't get me wrong, I too was there to get my triple track paper cutter for 1/2 price, but gee whiz I was afraid to reach for something in fear of loosing an arm! :shock:
I did find the $1.00 stamps, but we only have a few different ones & the only one I really liked was the cow with the long legs...too cute.
Sniffle, sniffle, boo hoo hoo. :( :( :( :( There is no Michael's close to me! I have been here in Ohio for less than a year and I have Target and Michael's withdrawals all the time. We have to drive over an hour to get to either of them.
It is a good thing it is Easter and we are going back to Michigan. I will get my fix (and my $1 stamps) on Monday.

My 9 yr old dtr and I went early this morning - about 8:45 -- and our Michael's wasn't crowded at all! Well, let me take that back .. it was crowded enough for the 74 cent 12x12 paper holder dealies to be sold out.
I got my Sizzix and some beads for dd & out to breakfast we went! Missed the $1.00 stamps, though. bummer!
well.looks like I'll be taking atrip to micheals.this week.HB IS HOME ON MONDAY soI can't do it then godda do it when he's at work.You know what I mean all you addicted wives who are hiding those stamps in our little cubbies.HOPEFULLY THEY WILL HAVE NEW ONES THERE.i THINK i HAVE MOST OF THE OTHERS ALREADY.I have to go I think he's coming up the stairs now can't let him read this.bye.

It's someone who buys stamps they didn't normally like at first,only to see it in Split Coast Stampers gallery in a different perspective.
I'm such a dork ... I got all excited when I read about the new $1.00 stamps at Michaels. I knew I had a 30% off coupon today and I'd buy 1 of each. I set my alarm for 5:00 am to get some work done around the house and took off at 7:00 am. I got to Michaels and there was not 1 car. I pulled my coupon out and it is for 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.... NOT am! Sure hope when I get there tonight they really have some of the new stamps I read about.

I think what we all should do............. Is everytime we go to Mikes or Target, we should pick up sale items for Amanda and mail them to her so she doesn't feel so left out. Ok now what will you mail us from Hawaii??? Nice weather for Easter???

LOL! Don't feel too bad - one of my best scrapping buddies did the same thing!! She's the mom of four, so she went right to Dunkin Donuts, got a coffee & spent some quiet time in the car before she went back home
I had my hopes up when I went to Michaels yesterday, but they didn't have any new $1 stamps. :( So, I made myself feel better by going to Hobby Lobby and getting 4 House-Mouse stamps! I just love those little boogers! (My DH thinks they are cute too!) It made me feel better anyway!
I love house mouse stamps. I have a bunch that I got from ebay (where I bought most of my stamps till I discovered how much I love SU). I haven't discovered anywhere around here that sells them.
