How does she do it?
I have no idea.
All her work has that lovely BEATE thumbprint.
She works the gallery, breaks us in to new techniques, and does it all with the sweetest German accent evah!

Not only is she a stamping queen, Beate is such a great friend, too. I remember once I had a workshop, and the hostess called at the last minute that she had MORE people coming than I had prepared for. I needed one sheet of that striped (green) sassy paper. . .and she dropped everything and drove to my house with that sheet, PLUS dinner for my family. I just love you, man. You are THE best friend, and I am SO happy I picked up a lonely girl on stampin' discuss!
But Mike secretly curses you. . it's YOUR FAULT I have to have EVERYTHING!
She is without equal for techniques. I also thought she was so gracious and such a nice person when I got to meet her at Leadership. The folks in St. Louis LOVED her.

here's how I got to know beate. about 18 months ago when I was still doing pretty much everything on my own I set up a link on the gallery main page so that people could request new categories for stamp sets that we hadn't added yet. well, there was this one person who seemed to be requesting new categories constantly!
it was beate of course, because she was the mad uploader. somehow we eventually got around to talking about the technique tutorials that I wanted to add to the site. but Beate didn't think she could do them! I told her I thought she'd do a great job, and she agreed to try it. and now she's the technique diva.
I'm cool because beate and I have the same birthday. and I think she's a lefty too.
hahaha! I remember when Beate got Daven's email. She was like HOLY! He wants ME to do these tutorials. WHAT???? I'm like, "go for it!" And it's all her fault I'm here.
my turn, I haven't had the pleasure of ever meeting Beate in person, but feel like I know her from this board...she comes across as a very competent, but humble & sweet lady.
Thanks for all the tutorials you have shared with me!
Beate is the reason I have supplies laying around. So it's Daven and Tracy's fault I have a messy apartment, and Beate's fault that that mess is SU! stuff.... (OK-I will take accountability-but Beate still RULES!)

You guys are too sweet! I am blushing!!!!
It's a gorgeous day out here in Texas, 80 degrees and sunshine. I was outside reading a trashy novel and sunbathing. I come back to see this thread. Makes me all warm and fuzzy!
And Jenn did you see...someone called me classy. You are too sweet. I guess I will have to meet you to set the record straight. I am a bit on the crazy side. LOL But only a bit.
I love what I do and I thank Daven for letting me join him on this site.
You are the absolute BEST!!! Your tutorials are so perfect that anyone could follow them and get it right the first time through - although mine may not be as artistic as your's.
