I posted this on another thread, but it's worth a look if you missed it!
My friend uses her Canvas background stamp like Magic Mesh! She inked it along the top of the stamp at a width of about 2 inches in Versamark, stamped it on her card, then embossed with silver ep! It turned out so cute!
It's so funny, how once we see the wonderful cards in the gallery, the stamps always look so much better!
I wasn't completely crazy about the Canvas BG, until I started seeing the great cards out there! I think it is one of the best, most versatile backgrounds around! I'm glad it's going to be around for a while!
I'm going to have to try the embossing idea! Thanks for the tip!
I saw a card this weekend by a wonderful sideline of mine (hi Linda!)
She had made a pack of cards and embossed the canvas in white over Forest Foliage-looked awesome!

Not to hijack this conversation- BUT i thought this would be a good place to share my new idea- i dont have the canvas stamp (YET)- so i figured out how to make do- I sponge ink over the top of a piece of mesh on the card, move it down, till all the BG is covered. then lift off. THERE- a REVERSE canvas BG! it looks pretty neat i think.
