Your Stampin' Up demo can give you the forms to fill out and you have to purchase the starter kit. Demo support will send you an email when your paperwork has been processed then you can call and get your demo number.
Congratulations and good luck to all the new demos.

Not a dumb question at all!! Do you currently have a demonstrator? Speak to her and she'll be able to help you. (If you don't have one, you can go to the Stampin' Up! website and do a demo search.) Then you fill out your demonstrator agreement and starter kit order form and send it in. And you're off to shows others the joy of stamping and creating
Thanks for the answers! I am from Sophia NC which is about 15 miles from Greensboro and High Point NC. I will search the SU web-site!
Thanks Everyone!

Good Luck to You Also!

I just signed up with Stampin' Up this week, and received my password too.
My husband was wondering what the S & H would be on a 160.00 order?
Does anyone know? He is giving me Stampin'Up things to get my business going!! Isn't that great! I think so....
Thanks

and to the other new demos - yes, definitely - see you on the "other side" SOON!!

I overnighted mine on Monday, too. They got it yesterday afternoon, and I received my login info last night. I knew they would get it fast, but I didn't expect it to get processed so quickly. The people at SU! are great, so friendly!! I've called twice and both of the girls I talked to were absolutely wonderful, so nice and helpful. So even if you're just thinking about being a demo and want to get some questions answered, you can call them and they'll help you.

Yesterday must have been a busy day for SU! cause I got my demo info, too. And my hubby said that someone called from SU! today to welcome me (I wasn't home from work yet).
I spent quite a bit of time playing around on the demo side last night and can't wait to place my first order!!!!

Congratulations! I know what you mean. I'm looking forward to placing my first order, too. My wish list is SO long!! I've been stamping for 3 1/2 years, and I can't seem to get enough "stuff". There's always something new or fun to get Right now I'm just anxious to get my starter kit. Hopefully that will hold me over through the holidays! It was shipped today!!

My demo called and gave them my email address, so I got my number today too! And someone called and left me a message...they were very busy! I read somewhere that they received 400 apps last week.

ditto here!! i simply cannot wait to get my kit!!! i just LOVE new stuff!!! actually a lot of the things in my kit are those that i tried at my upline's (gosh - i sure like how that sounds... upline!!)
still jumpin around here - my wish list gets longer each time i look in the gallery... now i am just waiting to get approved for the demo side... i sure wonder what is over there
My demo just overnighted my paperwork in today. The post office PROMISED it would be there tomorrow morning.....I'm so worried. I don't know how November got away from me!!! I guess the worst that can happen is i pay $30.00 more than I was expecting. I too am so excited can't stand it!!! I'm totally looking forward to Mr. Brown's delivery.... it's like Christmas early!!!
Congrats to all of you new demos!!!
The worst part about waiting for my starter kit: I wasn't sure how long it would take to get so I had it shipped to my parents' house as we will be staying with them in Illinois for three weeks. My luck the kit would have been delivered here in NC the day after we left and would have sat outside for three weeks until we got back. Anyway...it will be in Illinois sometime next week since it shipped today. And we won't get into town until December 11, which is my DH's birthday so I know I won't have time to look through it that evening when we get into town because we'll be visiting his parents! It's just torture!!! I've waited this long to become a demo, I can certainly wait a few extra days to enjoy my goodies, right?!?!
Woe is me:mrgreen:

November got away from me, too!! But if it was overnighted, then it really is guaranteed to be delivered by 3 pm the next day. It worked for me this week! So no more worries for you - just excitement! Congratulations!!

Woe is me too...mine have to go to Nebraska first....:(
I am dying to get my Starter Kit. I almost died when I saw that according to UPS it weighs 32.5 lbs! It won't arrive until Friday but I have a few things I ordered from the Holiday Mini arriving tomorrow that will be fun to play with.
So what stamp sets and colors did you all order for your starter kits??
I can't believe it weighs that much! Now I really can't wait to get it!! I chose:
Hearfelt Thanks
Looks Like Spring
Warm Words
A Tree for All Seasons
Snow Flurries
I Did It
Watercolor Joy Wheel
In Color cardstock
All the In Color Stampin' Pads except buckaroo blue (I can get that one later )
I LOVE the In Colors and already have all the Stampin' Spots families. I also already have all the accessories in the kit except the craft & rubber scissors. I told my upline (you're right, Yuko, that does sound great!! can't wait to have a downline:mrgreen: ) that I should have joined a long time ago. Think of all the $$$ I could have saved!!
Hey everyone! Congrats to you all! Last night SU just called me and gave me my number and password! I'm so excited! Just can't wait to get my package! Does anyone know where to go on this site for the Demo's only forum. I can't find it! Thanks for your help! Carrie

Congrats to you, too!! To apply to join the demo's forum, go to the home page and click "Join a user group" on the left side under "Quick Clicks". Then select the SU! Demonstrators group and click "Join Group". After that you wait to hear from one of the group leaders. Oh, and make sure you have private messages enabled (under Edit Options in User Control Panel). I submitted my request and am *patiently* waiting to hear back. Can't wait to see what's on the other side!!
I'm waiting to hear back from "the other side" too!!
this is what I ordered - my kit is supposed to be here on MONDAY!! YAY!!
Summer by the Sea, Greetings Galore, Be Happy, Festive Fout, You're Neat, Trick or Treat, Acorns Wheel, BB Cardstock, stamp pads in black, lovely lilac, choc chip, rose red, pretty in pink and summer sun. oh how is WISH that brown would come sooner... like before the weekend... any updates on when your packages are arriving? yuko
Good choices, Yuko! I like Greetings Galore, but I already have Figures of Speech and they're kind of similar. Summer by the Sea is a beautiful set; you'll be able to do lots with it. I considered You're Neat, too, but decided to get a different one. It's really cute, though!
I checked my order status earlier; it's supposed to be delivered on Tuesday! Now I'm really wishing that I would have had sent to me here in NC since it would have made it before we leave. Oh well. Something else to look forward to when we get to IL

These all sound like great choices!! now we just need our kits!! LOL... hopefully, i can survive the weekend... hmmm... maybe i can play with all the stamps i ordered just before i signed up!! it's supposed to be cold all weekend here - at least in our weather terms-so lots of indoor activities!
