I'm fairly new to stamping, but I've been scrapbooking for a few years, and involved in all sorts of art since I was a kid. (lets just say a looooog time!)
I've really enjoyed looking at all the wonderful cards, etc... in the gallery. There sure are a lot of creative people here! I look forward to learning a lot more about stamping.
You have no idea how obsessive this site is! Welcome to your new home!! LOL

Sereikastamper...My name is Lynn, but you can call me Crazy if you want. I had a hard time coming up with a user name...my 1st few choices were already taken.
j-me...Is Grand Haven where Sleeping Bear Dunes is? If so, I've been there. It's beautiful. I was surprised we got so much snow already!
Hello from Oregon.....I lived in michigan for the first 20 yrs of my life so that is my home state (been in oregon for 4 yrs). I lived in a small town between flint and lansing.
Hi Lynn, am a newbie too and from Michigan. I stop in here 2-3 times a day, can't believe how addicting it is and how much I have learned from reading the forums, thanks everyone
Hi Lynn! Welcome from Crazy Mel in NY! You are in good company here-it is an incredible site, such a wonderful resource for all of us who are crazy about stamping!

Another Season's Greetings from Oregon. I have never been to Michigan so I have no connect except for this awesome sight. I hope you have really comfortable chair.
I used to live in Michigan (until last August). Now we are in Ohio, but I sure do miss Michigan, even the snow you just got! Be prepared to become addicted! I used to scrapbook a lot and now it seems like I spend more time on SCS or stamping! This is a great site with some talented very people!
Wow...lots of people here from/or used to be from Michigan. So far nobody real close to me. I'm in Livingston Co...smack dab between Detroit & Lansing.
Tracey...my SIL who also grew up in MI now lives in OH, near Cleveland where her hubby is from. She misses MI too. Luckily she isn't too far to still visit quite often.
I'd say, "welcome" but this is my first post, so it would be a little weird. I've been logging on to SCS for the past month or so - SEVERAL times/day. I've become addicted! I'm from MI too - Dexter (just west of Ann Arbor) - we're not too far! (I grew up in Livingston Co.).
I'm not a very artistic person, but I love to stamp (takes me years to get pictures developed, so I haven't really gotten into scrapbooking). This site makes it easy for me - I can just CASE everything and don't have to worry about whether I used the wrong color combos, etc. - I already know how it will turn out!
Hi Lynn,
I live in the Thumb, just north of Port Huron. Now that you have been sucked into this site your life will change forever. These are the most wonderful people that I have never met.

Welcome! I live in Livingston County too. I am about 13 miles north of Howell in Deerfield Township. We moved here three years ago from Arizona. Getting ready for the snow.
Welcome!
Yesirreee, Michigan is filled with addicted SCSers. I have been looking for a 12 step program in Lansing. I've given up. Besides, I could never live without this site.
Hmm, someone mentioned a SCS get together in MI. I think it is an awesome idea.
SCS rocks! Michigan rocks, too! So many ladies from Michigan. We should get together.. That would be so fun. I live in Romeo, which is in northern Macomb County.

JanTInk...I used to have some friends and some family in Redford. That's not too far. Brighton is way closer tho.
joosterhse...It sounds like you are really close to me.
lanelson...thanks for using your first post to say hi to me. Dexter is pretty close. My Aunt lives near there. My cousins attend school in Dexter, but have Whitmore Lake address.

Looks like we've got enough members in the state that we could have our own get-together!
Good idea nkowalk! Maybe after the holidays we could plan some kind of get-together. Sounds like most of you are from the west side of the state.
Good morning everyone! I am in Grand Blanc which is just south of Flint. About 45 min from Howell, Brighton. Howell is my hometown and I spent many a Friday night cruising the Brighton Cinema parking lot. I hear that is not allowed anymore! Met my dh when we both worked at the Meijer there!
If anyone is interested, pm me...we do scrapping/stamping at my church the first Friday of every month and anyone is welcome! My oldest friend is from Howell (a demo too) and she drives up to scrap each month. Have a great day!
Hello to the Michiganders out there ( and other SCSers). I from the Flint, MI area, actually closer to Davison. I've been a Demo for almost 4 years and found this awesome site earlier this year. Yes, it is very addicting and I have found tons of awesome ideas.
I have been browsing for a while and just signed up. I am also in Grand Blanc, what a small world!! Would love to hear about your Friday night group. This is such an inspiring site, I just keep browsing and buying, buying, buying!!! Kelli
Hello again. But I'm not from Michigan. I'm jealous that there are so many of you so close. I want more stamping/scrappin buddies near me. Does anyone live in Indiana?

I'm surprised at just how many people here are from Michigan. A couple of you live real near me. We'll for sure have to get something together maybe in February...that always seems to be the worst month for me. Nothing fun to do and I'm ready for Spring. Sometimes MI winters are way too long.
Angie...maybe you should start a post with Indiana in the title and you'll find some people near you too.
Welcome to SCS!! This is the most awesome site I have found. I too am from Michigan, well I am a transplant!! I lived in Delaware for the first 31 years of my life until I met my wonderful husband who was born and raised in Troy and now we live in Clarkston right next to Pine Knob (DTE). I would love to hear about any stamping activities that are local. I have been a Stampin Up! demo for almost a year.
