I do NOT need the paisley.....
background stamp.
I do NOT need the paisley background stamp.
I do NOT need the paisley background stamp. :?
Repeat after me....
I do NOT need the paisley background stamp.
Canvas, Just Jeans, Filigree, and By Definition. All background stamps I NEVER would have bought except for seeing the kewl cards here on SCS. Now after this months DD gallery I think I have to add the paisley background stamp to my stamp club order next month.
I know, I know....Resistance is futile. I will be assimilated.
Curses on you DD design team.

This is so funny. I've always thought "ick" when looking at the paisley stamp in the catalog. Now it's on my next order.
Can you just see the SU internal news bulletin: "There's been a sudden, unexplained uptick in sales of the Paisley background stamp...we are investigating..."

You need this stamp now to make creations similar to the ones that the DD design team came up with in the DDD gallery.
Just wonderful! Go check it out, or sign up and go check it out.

I'm so happy I ordered it a bit ago...my head is still spinning from all the wonderful uses in the DD gallery....but at least as soon as it stops I can play!!!
I'm wondering if there are subliminal messages going on here!!!   I find everytime I come and look on this site...and that is many times a day I have something new to add to my list. Whatever it is I love it though...I just make other decisions and save extra for stamping.
Love ya all for all you share!

Well I am sticking to my "guns" and not ordering any other stamp sets until the new catty comes out!!!! Well except the 1/2 priced sets of course!! ;) I just don't want to buy anything that will retire because then it would be "worthless" to me as a demo in a few months!

I am a 70's "girl" and have always loved paisley. This was one of my first purchases out of the current catalog. Below is a link to a card in my gallery, which has the Joseph's Coat technique for the background. But before I added the Night of Navy over it, I swear it looked like tooled leather with just the embossing powder . It is gorgeous in person. If you do this be sure to use DETAIL clear embossing powder. Regular embossing powder fills in the fine lines.

Come on - everyone needs a little paisley in their life. "If you're going to San Francisco, be sure to wear some flowers in your hair. . ."

Paisley is on the trend watch list. Predicted to be one of the hottest looks this season and in the coming year.
I saw GREAT evidence of this when I attended CHA (Craft & Hobby Association Industry Fair--largest in the world, Atlanta, GA this past Feb 05). I read it in the trade mags and saw it everywhere among the manufacturers.
Take a look at the beautiful line of paisley cards by Anna Griffin.
Take a look at clothing mail order catalogs.
Take a look at textiles in the fabric stores.
There is no doubt: Paisley is HOT!
Some of us have always been fans of paisley--myself included (I was born in the early 60's . . . ).
Some of you have fallen victim to one of the most hideous crimes of our times: Bad paisley.
We offer you our condolences.
We are offering good paisley designs. Resistance is, indeed, futile!
If you haven't donated $20 to help support the site*, and see the cool stuff in this month's DDD (and all past months), many of which happen to feature paisley, not to worry. I think it's safe to say we'll see more of it appearing in the other galleries very soon . . . . heh, heh, heh!
*Edited to say, I really believe, however, that your donation will be the best value you'll ever make in an idea resource. More ideas EVERY month than in 2 Paper Crafts combined, and those only come out bi monthly, ya' know.

Where is this trend to watch list? Who writes it? And where can I hunt them down and rip that pen out of his hand?

Aaaaah, I see your point. I do not know "that" Paisley, but have heard of him and that he is quite the hottie?
But, ya' know I can sleep with my Paisley Print stamp and still remain true to my beloved DH.

Oh darn, why did you have to go and do that? (why did I have to look?) I didn't notice that going through the DD gallery, I thought my resistance was doing pretty well!
I always liked the old paisley stamp better and wondered why they retired it to replace with that one? Well, now I know.

We get paid to brain wash people on SCS!! NOT!!! LOL!!! I think I first noticed the paisley stamp in a card Julie did.... then Jenn Balcer busted out this incredible box with it and I was sunk! I craved it for a few months and finally gave in. I see it all over the craft stores and it is just being used so well. I have a bizzilion things in my mind to do with it and cant wait to stamp them...... next week!
I think someone needs to call SU and warn them though!!! We don't want a backorder issue.... we need it NOW!

I hate(d) paisley. My mom had those god awful housedresses and aprons made of said terrible paisley.
This stamp, however, has been rendering some incredible work. This I cannot deny.
I will be ordering it next month, I am afraid, because it's true.....resistance is futile.
Big D and his crew should be getting a cut on the action from the trends that come from HERE and cross over to Shelli's world! ROFL!! ;)

I give up... I ordered the Paisley stamp a couple weeks ago when I saw the cute monogrammed cards. I am positive that Stampin UP! plants these talented stampers who seem to have an endless supply of stamps here on SC to get us into a buying trance!!! I want everything I see....

I said the same thing for about 2 minutes, then I went directly to SU site and placed an order! I think the DD girls should get a great kick-back from SU for all their inspirations!
