Christmas candy bar fudge with poem
When you make this "delicious fudge", what size and what specific candy bars do you use? I think I am having my entire family, grandparents through great grandchildren, at our home for Christmas this year. These would be so much fun to make and give as favors. No matter what age, I think everyone would like them.
Thanks!

I am going to use the new Hershey's with Peanut butter ones, they are 4.5 oz. They run about a dollar for each one, but for a family I would use the smaller candy bars, the standard size ones, bet you can get them pretty cheap in bulk at Sam's, Costco or BJ's

Christmas Fudge Poem
I don't have a recipe per se, but here is a poem (to the tune of Jingle Bells)...
Dashing from the malls
With groceries yet to buy,
Workshops, kids & housekeeping,
Life's so crazy! Why?
Bells on our telephone ring,
The machine will take the call,
We have no time for family or friends,
It drives us up the wall.
How are you? How's your life?
We really want to know.
Hope you're ready for Christmas,
Now maybe it will snow.
A day or two ago,
We thought we'd make a treat,
For all our special friends--
A Christmas Gift to eat!
Our intentions were top notch,
But our schedules would not budge,
Hence, here's this year's addition of homemade
CHRISTMAS FUDGE!

Forgot to add that this was wrapped around a giant Hershey Bar - not the regular sized ones.

The "recipe" is that there is no recipe. You just wrap up a candy bar. When I copied this, the last lines said, "So, here's this year's version of
CHRISTMAS FUDGE!

It is just too much for mher any more. So I want to do some little things like this to make it special. For those of you who are wondering check out this post from Michelle Gallery at Splitcoaststampers They are so cute! Thanks Michelle for your inspiration.

That is just too cute, and now gives me one more thing to do to get ready for Christmas! These will make great gifts for all the people I kinda know at work, the mail lady, and the dry cleaners. Thanks!

Fudge Recipe
Hi there, Last year I made Rachael Ray's 5 minute fudge (link follows) It's quick, easy and so yummy. I didn't make the wreath, I put the fudge in cookie cutters than in cello bags tied with ribbon and a tag, put them in all my gift bags last year, they were a great hit. Enjoy, Taylor

Christmas "fudge"
I made these for a craft fair. I attached the poem to a regular Hershey bar--about 6" x 2" and added fancy ribbon and a gift tag. I also packaged about 6 Hershey's nugget candies in a small cello bag, tied the top with ribbon, and attached the poem and gift tag to that. They look cute--I hope they sell (this weekend!)

Ralph's had the huge chocolate bars 10/$10 today so I got some (Special Dark, Symphony with toffee, Butterfinger Chip bars) and I came looking for the poem. Thanks for sharing!

I used the smaller ones and made a wrapper for them so you could pull out the candy bar - like the popcorn/cocoa pouches only smaller

when I made some, I dressed the bars like Santa and had the poem on a pull out tag. I sold a lot of them for $2.00 and gave away a bunch.

If making your favorite homemade fudge recipe; just pour into buttered large cookie cutters that have been placed on a wax paper lined cookie sheet. Let stand until set. Decorate fudge in the cookie cutters as desired, and wrap in cellophane to give as gifts.

I did these last year and everyone seemed so pleased, also I have done bags of microwave popcorn wrapped in cardstock with the saying "JUST POPPING IN TO SAY----MERRY CHRISTMAS". These are cute too.
