Default I got a reply from Stampin UP

I'm so excited. I emailed SU last week and they replied to me. There was a thread dealing with what kind of phrase you'd like to see in SU and I posted some thoughts. Someone says I should send them to SU, and I did. Read below to see what they said.

From : Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Support <[email protected]>
Sent : Tuesday, March 15, 2005 9:39 AM

Subject : RE: Phrase Stamps

Dear Debbie,

Thank you for contacting Stampin' Up!(r) with your suggestion for new
phrase stamps. It is fine that you are not a demonstrator. Customer
feedback is very important to us, and often helps us in evaluating our
products, processes and policies. We have noted your comments and will
pass them along to the art department for consideration. Our artists
are always interested in hearing what our customers would be interested
in seeing in new stamps. However, please be aware that the stamps for
our upcoming 2005-2006 Idea Book & Catalog have already been designed, so your suggestions would have to be considered for something more in the future.

Thank you again for your input. If you have additional questions or
feedback, please feel free to contact us again.

Have a great stampin' day!

Sincerely,

Sharee Hughes

To Whom It May Concern:

I am a member of the Split Coaster Stampers website (www.splitcoaststampers.com). A majority of the site is dedicated to
galleries of cards, etc made with Stampin' Up products. It also
includes different types of forums and other things. A question on one of the forums was, What phrases would you like to see in the SU catalog? One of the other members really liked what I posted and suggested that I send them to you, so I am. I am not a demo, but a very good client and have been since 2000.

I posted the following phrases:

Praying for you
How can I help?
Wish I could be there
You're always on my mind
Let's get together
You're so brave
I'm proud of you

Aren't they great? I've e-mailed a couple of times before in the past and have always received a prompt answer. And never a computer-generated answer, always a personalized one. I'm very impressed with their customer service.

Hey Debbie,
Not to burst your bubble, but that's pretty much how they respond to any kind of suggestion you send in--doesn't necessarily mean that they will implement it. (I only say this because I'm a demo and I've emailed numerous suggestions over the years and received a similar response each time.) You never know, though. Good luck! Those are definitely great and I would purchase them for sure!

Has anyone ever had a request granted? Do you know of any suggestions which were actually used?

Well, the new channel boxes for the alpha sets was an idea from a demo, but I don't know that she submitted her suggestion through an email. Could have. She was recognized for it at Convention and received the bright idea award or something. (I know somebody knows better details on this than me--I don't live and breathe SU! as much as I used to be able to. Oh, and I was 8 months pregnant at the time, so alot of it is now just a blur. ) Also, the paisley background stamp came out about a year or two after I requested that they have more paisley--but that was probably just a coincidence. Anyone else submit a suggestion that came to life, or seemed like it did?

Mommakate- I LOVE THAT! I am working on a BooBoo album. Last year my DH and 4 year old daughter has surgery 3 days apart. DH on Good Friday and DD on Easter Monday. She had an Appendectomy. The doctors said it was very unusual for her age. Your So Brave would have been perfect on the page I did for her. I have also included in this book the time the same DD almost died at the age of 18 months when she got into prescription meds, a couple of surgeries I have had. Not sure if the album is finish. Most likely not. My 9 year old DD hasn't had anything happen to her yet. Knock on wood!

These are awesome phrases. Great that you got a response.

Don't forget the SU journaling Cds I use them all the time to put phrases in my cards that I don't have a stamp of.
