Every year I dream of stamping up some decorations for the Thanksgiving table....this year, let's do it! There is still time! I'm thinking place cards (you know, with a name so everyone knows where to sit), napkin rings, stamped napkins, etc. Show us what you are going to "dress" the table with this year.
This challenge was inspired by a post suggesting the same thing, but I can't find it right now. If you can find it, please let me know so I can credit the poster with the idea. ETA: it was MkMiracleMakers! Thanks!
If you have questions, please ask. If you have suggestions, please share!
When you upload, please put TLC90 in the keyword section when you upload, and then post a link to your card here in this thread. If you are new to the challenges, or need help uploading or linking, click here.
I look forward to seeing all your creations!
As always, I am in search of suggestions for techniques for future TLCs! Please PM with suggestions and a link to the directions and/or a sample if you can.
Thanks!
Happy Monday!
If you would like, please share your Thanksgiving day traditions here.

Good one, Beth. I had done all my Thanksgiving cards and was done with those stamps - I thought - so they went out to the shed to make room. But, yesterday, I decided to make something for the table. Needed this push! Going to Curves and then back to do this challenge!

No Thanksgiving at my house (whew!) - we travel (sort of). And DH's family wouldn't appreciate handmade table stuff anyway! So I guess I'm off to stalk elswhere!
Interesting challenge! Our Canadian Tksgiving has passed now, but it will be nice to see all the ideas, and use them next year.
Beth, this challenge was posted by MkMiracleMakers in the Try a New Technique forum.
Thank you for finding that post by MkMiracleMakers! The search function is a little wonky this morning...I couldn't even find my own post about Thanksgiving traditions.
My apologies to my Canadian friends!
My daughter tells me this is one I can do and she's right...I actually have all the pieces cut out. Raced to complete one but have decided I will stamp the names or calligraphy them. This will be redone. This is a little book placecard and inside are thoughts I have of each of our guests, tied with a ribbon. thanx for the challenge.
Sounds like fun Beth...our Thanksgiving is past and I really dont' have time anyways:( but i hope I'll be able to find some time to pop back in and get inspired for next year!
Wow! I'm actually on the first page too. First thing I did was check here today. Great challenge. Will try to come up with something. Our family all come here on Wed. night, and go to in-laws on Thurs. The ones from Clarksville spend the night, so we get to stay up late and talk. The women-not the men. This challenge did remind me I haven't made any Thanksgiving casds. Have to do that today. I will check back later .

Sounds like a fun challenge. I'll come up with something even though I'm not cooking this year, in fact no one is. We're going to Marie Calender's and letting them do the dishes.
Right on, Beth! I needed a push to create placecards for my T-giving dinner (17 people this year!). Not particularly original, but I've been wanting to try this...
Well, I stamped a candle earlier this month and did a placecard for my workshop....MIL is already switching her house over to Christmas....since dinner is there, I guess I'll try to come up with something that will go with her decor!!!
Great challenge, Beth. Our family always congregates at my sister's house -- for which I am immensely thankful!! -- and everyone brings part of the meal. But I'll see what I can come up anyway. Thanks.
Hmmm...not sure whether or not to try this challenge. I sure miss doing the challenges, but I'm still skulking about trying to get over a creative block, and all my stuff is put up for a "creative cleansing." Besides, we're going to be driving 8+ hours to eat our T'giving dinner. And at 2 different houses. Maybe I could make a T'giving-themed gift to give to each hostess. What to do, what to do...

Now that's a good idea!!! Maybe a gift for the MIL's who are hosting (yes, 2 MILs - ). Good thinking!!!
Location: My very hot stamp room, in Phoenix! It's a dry heat.

I got busy with this - anything to distract me from what I really should be doing. lol Oh well. Even with an unexpected interruption, I got it done. I would like to make these for everyone attending dinner, and put a different grateful quote inside each. I will also suggest that each person list some of our blessings on the back.

We've never had Thanksgiving at our house. (Ashamed to admit, but I don't even know how to cook a turkey!) I do, however, have a great idea for a project I meant to do last year, but never had time for. Still have the supplies, so off I go. Hopefully it turns out like I'm envisioning!
Beth, thanks for pushing me on to get started on these for Thanksgiving. This is the pouch we made for VSN; the turkey idea is from Henrysmom - see description. Now, I have to make 8 more! Fun!
I hope this qualifies for the challenge, because I didn't stamp anything, but instead used one of my photos. Thanks for the challenge, Beth! Here's mine.
