Petal Points VS Classic & Craft

I have been collecting opinions on Classic VS Craft pads for Scrapbooking, and was told to check into our new Petal Points. Does anyone have these yet, and what do you think?

I ordered both b/c everyone else I have spoken to that has them says they are a must! Can't ignore that! lol I am waiting on my order so I will have to let ya know what I think.

Depends on which petal points you are talking about.

I have some Petal Points pigment ink. It's like SU's craft ink, but in different colors. I like their color choices.

SU now sells the Petal Points fluid chalk sets. I ordered them and I love them! It's like stamping with chalk instead of having to use Versa Mark and pastels. And with the little point on the pie, you can get to detail small areas of the stamp.

I think they are NEAT!

I just had my open house yesterday and one of the cards my customers made used the earths/regals petal point pad. Everyone loved it! I don't think my customers would have been able to visualize how it works if they had not tried it out. The card they made they had to do both stamping and then sponging using an individual color from the pad. Everyone really liked how you could use a lighter color ink on darker cardstock and how well it showed up. Also it does dry very quick-pretty much like the classic ink.

If you are a demonstrator and let your customers use them-it can be a little messy, my mom/upline was helping with the projects and she did have to blot the ink pad with paper towels because some people were not careful. My stamps are a little more stained than usual as well.

Over all everyone really liked them and of the 10 or so customers who ordered from the new catalog 3 ordered the same petal point chalk pad.

I have been using liquid chalk pads for quite a while and am thrilled that SU now carries them. It is a great alternative to dye based and pigment inks. Give them a try, and I don't think they stain the stamps as readily.

Hey NY Nan,

The card was old olive cs and opened accross the bottom rathter than the side. I used the tearing edge and rmoved the bottom 1/3 of the of the front.
At the top of the card there are two layers- the top layer was us vanilla and they stamped the shapes and shadows bold flower 3 times in the warm violet color (same as SU egg. envy). The outline was stamped in olive pastel (same as SU old olive) and the center of the flower was stamped in yellow ochre (same as SU summer sun or more mustard). They then used the olive pastel (the rounded edge) to sponge the edge of the vanilla cardstock. This layer was placed on top of an egg. envy layer.

Where the bottom edge of the front of the card was torn off and the inside of the card shows they stamped "thank you" from the Wonderful words set in the warm violet (egg. envy) color.

I hope this makes sense, I would scan a picture but our scanner broke and we have not replaced it yet.
