Default my dh is AWESOME

just wanted to brag about my hubby. i had a craft fair this weekend that didn't go very well. i didn't make enough to cover the cost of my table -- that just bums me out. so i'm telling my dh that i feel bad since i spend so much money on stampin/scrappin that i feel as if i need to do these craft shows in order to help support my habit.

he said, "i've never taught a golf lesson." he has lots of golfing stuff and it's EXPENSIVE to just to play at some of the courses that he likes.

so i thought that was awesome and wanted to share.

He sounds like a good one!

I'm feeling very grateful for my dh too - this weekend I was so rushed getting ready for a workshop that he actually made me breakfast to eat in the car, programmed the gps for a Michael's on my way to the workshop - long story, but I was in a bind for adhesive - and didn't complain at all that he was a "stamp widower" this entire weekend!

They can be great, can't they??

It is so nice to have hubbys that are supportive. Sounds like yours is a keeper. Mine is too, he has delivered things for me, dropped me off places, taken me to craft stores, etc.

Default dh

That was such a nice thing for him to say and to make the comparison to something he enjoys! How intuitive of him. He's a keeper for sure.

He sounds like a keeper !
My DH was at Lowe's and saw a nice cabinet that looks like a pie safe - he thought it would be a nice place for my stamps and 'stuff' - and it wasn't even my birthday !! What a nice surprise.

Mine doesn't care how much stuff I get as long as it doesn't interfere with his routine but I seldom get to get away from home overnight with or without him! lol!

It is nice to see a positive thread about husbands. So many times we are quick to point out the negative. My hubby is pretty good too. He doesn't really care how much I spend (usually) as long as I use the supplies. He loves the fact that I send a lot of cards to people at church (kind of my own card ministry). My card ministry give me an "excuse" to keep buying, and since I have a husband who is generally so easy-going I say.....why not. Unfortunately, I'm on a spending "freeze" until the end of April. I was reminded about several sets that I have that aren't even mounted yet.....oops.

oh, i'm keeping him! i figured if he can put up with me and my "insanity" then i can put up with his stuff too.

i don't think he knows how much it has meant to me that he would make the comment that he did. amazing.

My hubby is great. He doesn't rant too much about what I buy.

AND he does all the cleaning, laundry, dishes, cooking, homeschooling our children, bills, etc.

I just go to work and earn the money.

DH are the greatest. Mine has been after me for years to get a hobby. His has been computer for years so he was always sitting infront of one and I was bored. Then I finally let myself get into stamps and now he can sit infront of his computer and I can stamp. We both talk about each others interst but neithers understands what the other is saying. I guess you could call it a mutual understanding.

Just this past weekend I showed my DH a scrapbook page that I'd just completed that turned out particularly good, and he said "Wow" and then told me that I should consider going to school to become a graphics artist because he's so impressed with the way I always get the colors right on my pages and cards. Of course SU's choice of 48 colors makes that part pretty easy . And here I thought he wasn't interested in my hobby! Then he gets out my previous scrapbooks and starts pointing out all the pages where he thinks I chose "exactly" the right colors and tells me that I have a knack for choosing colors in my wardrobe as well (another thing I thought he never noticed)

Default Awesome!

Okay...he's never taught a golf lesson. But would he consider teaching a "Stamping Sensitivity" course for other husbands?

It's nice to hear that he's such a support for you. That can make *all* the difference! ~ K

This thread was my laugh for the day! especially the response from Suzanne's about the new model and Shannons regarding a mutual understanding. I am single and don't have to worry about DH, although it would be nice to share my cards with someone. I do have an adult son that lives with me and when I do share my cards I can see the glaze look come over him and his "great card mom" voice takes over.... What a hoot this thread was!!!!! Still laughing......

Default my dh is AWESOME

The man I date is great, he decided my stamps were taking over, so he bought me the stampin' hopper to take my toys so I could go play with others... lol. I was surprised he knew where the local stamp store was to purchase it... He went out, found it, bought it and surprised me with it and the paper keeper. He loves for us to go visit someone so he can hand them a TY card and tell them I made it.

97% of the time my hubby is wonderful. There are those small times when my kids make me nuts and hubby sits there clueless. But I am THRILLED that so many of us have great DHs and that we can share positive stuff!

Default Feeling Grateful as well!

I have a very kind husband. So love this thread because it is easy to forget if you let yourself what good thing you have!

My DH not only built me an awesome stamping center. Has NEVER asks how much something costs. Always listens to me with great patience when I tell him about this great card or technique that I saw on SCS...sure it is the most boring thing in the world to him.

This week he got major bonus points as while I was at Regional he spent his weekend building me things for my stamping center! He made a bulletin board and a pad/base for my chair so it will roll on the carpet!! He is a total sweetie!!!

Thanks for letting us share in your good fortune and letting us brag on our guys as well Stacey

I hear from stamping women that when their husbands complain how much they spend on stamping stuff...they usually reaspond with 'Well look how much your: golf, fishing, truck, car, tools, fly tying etc cost

It's so refreshing to hear a husband supporting his wife and her passion.

You got a keeper!!!

Get this...my DH knows how much I spend and still doesn't complain!! It bothers me more than it bothers him. He knows that stamping is "my therapy" and probably figures it is cheaper than traditional therapy!! LOL!

Thanks for sharing such a sweet moment. It made me think of all the sweet things my dh has done for me! It is usually so much easier to just go crazy over his thoughtless comments and insensitive moments......it is good to remember the sweet times! Especially when they relate to stamping!
