I am really wanting to start a blog. I am terribly computer illiterate though and worried about how I will manage to get it even running.
I am so addicted to reading all of our wonderful stampers blogs and would love to do my own but guess I am just a chicken...lol.
How hard is it to do? Any tips or advice?
Thanks so much!
Jen
They are SUPER easy to set up. I have mine through blogspot and it is free. They walk you through it step by step and have templates you can choose from with your own color selections. I have been playing around with mine and having a blast. You can upload pictures, etc. I use mine for more of a personal journal for family and friends. I love to read other blogs, too.
Mine is also through blogspot and it is really easy to set up and as long as you make yourself do a post and keep it fairly active you are good to go. I have been blogging on mine now for a month and a half.... it is so much fun sharing things I have created. Every now and then I slip in some famliy fun we have done like pumpkin carving for halloween.
I'm here to tell ya', if Super Tech Tard (that's ME!) can do it, you can too, by golly!
I'm on Typepad.com . First month free trial; basic blog is low cost. Excellent online help system for a novice like myself. They're always adding new widgets--quite cool, too! Pro version has a lot of nice options and flexibility.
I like it muchly, but all I have to compare are several free blog services I tried (can't even remember the names of 'em now, only that they sucked! ) where I couldn't figure out how to make anything work . . .
I hear many folks are pleased with Blogger, and given the success everyone else seems to have had with it, it must NOT have been among any of the free (sucky) ones I tried when I was first exploring blogging a year ago.
HTH,and have fun! :-D

I use the free Blogspot for my blog and find it very user friendly. You should be able to have it up and running in a half hour or less, and then you can change the look of your blog at anytime until you find one that suits you.
I love reading blogs... it is one of my new hobbies!
I have Typepad and like it very much. It is easy to use and after your 30 day free trial is up you can choose what package you would like to have. It isn't very much money if you go with the 4.95 per month. I have been having lots of fun with mine. I also find that I am creating more cards etc... I like your blog name Inkpinky inks. I am going to go and have a look at it right now.
I've been doing my blog now since Tuesday and I'll have to say that after a I'm finding blogging both fun and frustrating. My biggest frustration is PICTURES. I just can't seem to get them sized and placed in the post how I want. I'm certain there has got to be an easier way to do it, but I just haven't figured it out.
I love my blog through blogger! Easy to upload pictures and do updates....they have a nice selection of background templates and if you do a Google search, you acan come up with a ton more templates. It is really simple to add counters and banners to the side bars....
