This Ways to Use it Challenge was suggested by Carol Sheevel. This week the challenge is to find Ways to Use WINDOWS in your projects. I just love the peekaboo, interactive effect you get with a window but for some reason, I rarely think about using them. There are many ways to incorporate windows into your cards. The easiest is to use a circle or square punch, but you can also use a shape cutter system such as Coluzzle or your xacto knife. The window can be a simple hole, a glitter window, a window in a neat fold, and there are also many types of beaded windows. Also, how about one of those donut windows that have been so popular lately. There are so many ideas...make it as simple or as complex as you wish...but we'd love to see you play along! This challenge is a very open one so I looking forward to seeing lots of creations this week.
Please remember to put WT85 in your keywords section and post a link back here. If you need any help please pm me. I apologize for mostly being MIA these past couple weeks. I really hope to play along this afternoon.
Oh cool Julia -- will have time this afternoon but at least I get to think about it while I'm sitting in the dentist chair!
You must be a great multi-tasker b/c all I can think about in the dentist's chair is: oh crap that hurts oh crap that hurts how much is this going to cost us oh crap that hurts...
Hi everyone! well, I guess i am getting off easy on my commitment to myself to do the challenges every day as I already have a couple of window cards.
...darn! I was hoping to get out of raking leaves (in the snow) but I guess i better get to it before the fluffers turn into flurries.
:p Made this one last week at a Christmas Card Class. I'm not big on shaker cards, but this is just adorable. Had to share it.
Can't wait to see what everyone comes up with...great challenge Julia..thanks.
Thanks for this challenge. The samples were great. Loved them all. I am trying to have time to make a card today. Still need to do the great SC96 from yesterday. Thanks again, Julia

Here is my card. My little guy actually decided to have a morning nap today so I got it done this morning. This switch to one nap a few weeks ago is REALLY cutting into my stamping time!:( I designed this double window tri-fold card for this challenge....
Had a minute and decided to try the challenge. I was shopping at Stamplistic yesterday in Amherst, OH. Saw this window card and it made it all that much easier to do the challenge. Hope the picture transfers well so you can see the window and "shutters" on all sides.
Thanx for the challenge.
Heres a window card shaker I made a while back....I was going put more shells but they werent small enough and one got stuck so it stayed....I tried to make the one pair of flip flops worn with toe marks can you tell??? TFL! Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Ohhh Julia can't wait to get home and play. Thanks for the challenge. Once again it's a great one!
