Lana- I had this happen last week one day, don't worry, it's just a glitch of some sort. I think I rebooted my computer and it still wouldn't work, so I just waited until the next day. I thought I was losing my mind! lol

hmm, give me some more details. can you *still* not post comments? what category were you in at the time (this is configurable by category)? what happens when you try? does the comments form actually show up, or is it not there at all?
I ran in to a similar problem and it was when I was trying to make a comment on one of the new cards featured on the home page. But I'm new to the site and wondered if I was doing something wrong. Until nothing I did worked, and then I realized it wasn't me!
There is no place for me to rate or comment. I can see the cards and everyone else's comments, but there is no box like normal where I would place my comment or make a rating.
I am not able to rate or comment on any of the new cards either. I can see all the other people's comments but there is no box for me to rate or write comments in. What's wrong?? :(
When looking at new gallery additions, I could not post comments yesterday or today either. I get the message "You don't have permission to post comments for images in this category. " when I attempt to post.
I've had problems not being able to rate or make comments. I thought it was specific to new additions, but found through the gallery I was unable to rate or make comments. I am able to view other's comments, but the rate 1-10 and comments box does not display. Please help me fix this - I have to make comment on posts - there are so many good examples..... I just have to give my two cents!!! Thanks in advance... lila
my apologies for the problems that people seem to be having with posting gallery comments. so far we haven't found anything that would globally disable comments for any group of users or gallery categories. Jennifer mentioned that she's had this problem periodically and was able to resolve it by doing a little "spring cleaning" - deleting cookies and a machine restart. since some people *are* able to post comments, I'm hopeful that this type of fix might help some of you.
also if you could *please* be as specific as possible about describing what you're experiencing, that will help. are you able to post comments in some categories and not others? do you *see* the comments form and get an error when you try and post, or do you not see it at all? we're kind of stumped at this point, so the more info. you can supply, the better.
I can see everyone else's comments. In ALL card categories, new and old, member galleries, galleries by stamp set, etc.
I just don't have anyplace available to rate it. I see the card, it's description, and any comments others have made. Below that, where there usually is a place for me to click on a rating and a box for a comment, there is nothing. Probably what it is like for people who aren't logged in, but it's been so long since I've not logged in, that I don't remember if that's what it looks like or not.
I cannot post comments in ANY section, it just doesn't give me the option.
Again, gorgeous cards we're seeing today. Stampers don't get discouraged if you think no one is rating you, for many of us cannot for some reason.
I LOVE this site, in spite of this little glitch. Thanks so much for your hard work on all you do to make this the best place for stampers to come to!
