This weeks sketch was brought to my attention by nmslmomto3 and its way off the normal layout but hey…it’s time we tried something new!
Since Lisa was making a card using the layout I put her to work for you and had her take some photos showing the different stages of opening the card. Thanks Lisa!
Measurements of nmslmomto3’s card:
Layer #1 - 4.25”x 5.5”; Layer #2 - 8.5” x 4” scored at 3.25”; Layer #3 - is 6” x 3” scored at 3” Do whatever you wish for layers on #4.
My card has slightly different measurements to allow for the black borders, they are posted in my description.
The attachment does not print to actual size of the card for a measurement guide.
To print this layout: - (nc means no color) If you see a small layout click on it or if you see an icon click on the words next to it.
-When the black surround screen appears click only on the layout and a white screen with the layout should appear.
-Right click and click on print from the pop up box or hold down your shift key and P key at the same time.
-Now you're ready to choose print and it should print to actual size of the card depending on your computer.
When this site works it is a whole lot of fun and when it doesn't well, it just makes me feel for the crew behind the scenes! Tonight it wasn't working that great for me...so lets all remember what the crew is going through and try to be patient!
Too cool - will have to wait till morning and maybe even the next day, but love the look of this! Will have to keep my eye on the gallery the next few days.
thanks, Roxie! Can't wait for tomorrow when I can get started. You know, no matter how hard I try to be first, there are always you ladies that beat me to it!
Oh great sketch for this week Roxie, I saw these in the gallery a while back and have been meaning to make one - now I can't make any more excuses - I will set to work and play - wonder if any of my new stamps I got at a craft show today will work for it LOL
Wow! This was a challenge! But I love this sketch and will for sure be using it again!
Thanks so much for the inspiration Roxie!
Here is mine: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Another great Challenge Rox. I hope to play tonight! Thanks for all you do to make it fun for us here on SCS!

I have done a similar version of this with the card turned upright here and here, but I will definetely give this sketch a try sometime today! Never thought about turning it sideways! Great samples!
Here's mine! This was an awesome challenge, Roxie - so much fun! I can see myself using this layout over and over again - infact, I've already made two cards, but since they are so similar (both Halloween), I'll only post one right now.
I so hope I can get to this today! I need a get well card for a friend who was just released from the hospital and this would be perfect! Thanks for posting this challenge Roxie!

What a cool layout! If you don't like my card, blame it on the fact that I haven't had my breakfast yet. Got the color combo from Laura's color combo search. Added the neutral Kraft. -- Gallery at Splitcoaststampers -- Now I'll go eat!
I have just finished making my first card using this weeks sketch challenge. Because I wanted to use a new turtle stamp I bought today, I had to make mine upright like the sample made by Susan #16. Will try and make another one tomorrow going the other way.
Here are two other cards I made with this sketch, one sideways and one upright. I really like this sketch and will be using it again. It is such a great honor for me to have my card used in the photo link! YEAH!
Love this sketch - think I'm gonna add a velcro dot to hold it closed, but I really, really like it and think it made a very rich looking card. Hope you like it too!
