I am deciding what I want to order and can't decide on Cool Cat.... When I first saw the set I was like " :shock: gasp! that is the cutest set ever, and i don't even really like cats!" and i've seen lots of cute samples of course in the gallery. BUT do i really really need it? will I make a few cards with it and not use it anymore? those of you that have it, do you still really like it? help me decide!

I wasn't at all attracted to this set, even seeing all the cute samples in the SCS gallery. It just wasn't for me.
THEN, I participated in a shoebox swap, where someone brought this set for their swap, and I completely fell in love with it. The little flowers for a background are just darling, and I can see using them over and over. I also love the stack of presents, and can see tons of uses for that stamp. I am still not completely in love with the cat, and probably wouldn't use it a lot, but for only $14.95, would definitely use the other stamps in the set. That's why it's now on on wish list on the Buy-Sell-Trade forum!

I first saw this set in the gallery here--and was amazed at not only all the ways you can dress up kitty, but all the other ways you can use the other stamps in the set. Ok, I'm already a cat lover, so maybe I'm biased, but I can see it being used for a girl's birthday/princess theme, flowery or spring theme, someone in the gallery even did a French theme.
So, overall, I think it's a pretty versitale (sp?) set. I already have it on order and can't _wait_ to use it.
And hey, if you don't use it after all, it seems many ladies already have it on their wish list, so you can always trade.
I didn't want this set when I first saw it. It didn't even appeal to me at all. Sure, I thought if you really love cats it would be a must have...but it just wasn't for me. Guess who ordered it? :shock:
YEP! After seeing some of the CUTEST darn samples in the gallery I completely had a change of thought. I got it last week and have mounted it, but have yet to play with it. My plan is to have fun stamping this weekend! I cannot wait to use it! So...YES...you need it too!
Just like most of you...I wasn't crazy about this set when I first saw it (loved the wheel though). Then I saw the samples and fell in love with it! I haven't ordered it yet but for 14.95, I just HAVE to have it now!
I too was not impressed by it. But after all the samples I have seen and threats by friends if I don't get it I have decided to order it. Now I can't wait.

I think the best thing for you to do is order it, make a few cards with it, and then once you are tired of the set, mail it to me! Stampin Up has yet to get back to me about whether there is a demonstrator in my area, so I'm having to figure out my own way of getting this awesome stamp set.

Ok, don't shoot me, but I hate the cat. I love a lot of the cards I have seen, but the cat is just ugly to me. Now the other stamps that go with it I am totally in love with...the little background flowers, and the stack of gifts. Well, they are just to die for. Is it worth it for just the other stamps? For me, yes. But I sure wish the cat was cuter!
When I first saw it I knew I wanted it for my Girl Scout troop. This years theme for the cookie sale had a pink cat very similar to the stamp set. But then the March Madness sale started and I didn't want to order the Cool Cat because I want so many others from the March sale and the Spring Mini. So I paid for Cool Cat with my GS troop funds. I just got it today!!! Now I can make all the cute little things I plan to make for the girls in my troop, and use it for myself too. But if I ever stop being the troop leader it won't be mine to keep .
This is the first set from the mini I knew I had to have. I have been so inspired by all the great cards that have been made by this set on SCS. It's funny how after you see a card made, how it can change your mind. I was never into vintage and then I went to a workshop and did an Altoid box for my hubby and we used vintage sets. Guess who is now hooked on vintage??? Go for it, you'll love it.
