I am a demo who sells about $2000 per quarter and almost never get the hostess appreciation set. I am never the hostess. My monthly clubs order tons and of course 3-6 of my hostesses get the set each quarter. *sigh* The reason I think we should get it is because we are doing all the work! many demos stay in business by just running clubs in which the "hostess" just takes a turn getting whatever she wants (including the hostess set). I can see where they would make the required amount more for demos, but we shold still get a shot at it. I love the set this time and am bummed about not getting it.
Whenever, I have an idea like that I just send an email to demo support. The most they can say is no. Maybe it could be an incentive if demos sell so much, that they could get it at the end of the quarter?
I do understand....but on the other hand, we cannot demo it after the set is no longer available. I find mine sit on my shelf and hardly get used, if ever!

I agree..there... but..
I think that we should be able to pre-order these... really.... because like all the other sets that we are able to earn or place orders for... we cannot get our hands on these to make samples! Without a 400 workshop? Come on, that is never going to happen for me, So frustrating....

I'm not a demo (yet!) but I agree with you. If you had the set as a demo and could make up samples, that might entice your hostess to pump up her show or have another one within that quarter.
I agreed. If we could demo the set more customers would be interested in getting the set and book a workshop or increasing thier workshop to the $400 level.

Just an idea, but could you work yourself into one of your hostess clubs. You would have to place your order every month with everyone else, but you would also get a chance to get those stamp sets. Then you could do a drawing or order several little things with your hostess credit to give the rest of the club as an extra goodie.
Just an idea.

I love the Hostess appreciation set too and I'm working hard one small workshop at a time to get it. I usually end up getting these sets, but its always at the end of the mini catalog and then I can't demo it. Maybe it will be in the next catalog? One can hope. I just put in a $250 workshop and I have another $150 workshop to go it right now. Of course, I'll need another $150 workshop to get it, and hopefully that will be by the end of the month with all the free floating orders for the 1/2 price special.

I demo mine so that they use it...then they want it... so they host a workshop!

Hostess Appreciation sets do not ever make a catalog...they're only available until the end of the mini catalog period. It's unfortunate!! It would be nice if demo's could purchase them!

you can place your own orders as hostess orders, just save up what you want to order until you have $150 worth. i've been a demo since may 04 and i have only placed 3 demo orders

Can someone explain to me....please!! I've seen in a couple of threads on the boards here about a Hostess getting $400 in a quarter??....Sorry, I'm new to SU! What does the Hostess get and what is considered a quarter??....from your first order and the following 3 months??....or a quarter consisting of the 4 month breakdown on a calendar year?? (ie Jan, Feb, Mar) (April, May, June) etc.
I got the last Hostess Appreciation Set from the Winter Mini but I only sell to myself and i have a friend that orders. It got automatically added to my last order.
The hostess appreciation set is the first set in each minicatalog. It follows the minicatalog quarter (eg March,April,May). It is free with a $400 workshop or a cumulation of qualifying workshops totaling $400 (eg $150 and $250 or $300 and $150). This time it is call The Art of Life - gorgeous (see gallery)!
hmmm I have an order for right now is at $200 but have 3 more orders coming in... That means I have till the end of May to get the other $200 or less to get the set??... hmmm I guess I am going to have to save up some $$$ and get that set!!! The first one that I actually have liked in the new Spring Mini!! ;)

Yup... as long as that next order is over $150... has to be a "hostess" order.
