(I have a SU music BG stamp- unfortunately it's retired- they need to make another one!)

I am hoping the new catty will have a BG stamp like this one:

Also, I really really need:

Please email Stampin' Up! with your background stamp ideas!! They listen to us, but it may be too late to add these to the new 2005/2006 Idea Book and Catalog. Maybe a mini?

I was just thinking about this idea the other day. I was thinking they should have a star swirls bg stamp sort of like the soft swirls. I'm fairly new to SU!, so I apologize if there already has been one. Although, all of your ideas sound great too! I wonder if there will be some new background stamps in the new catty.

There was a BG stamp called Musical Score. It was retired a year or two ago.

You know that you can use one of our jumbo wheels to make a brick wall, right? It's called Busy Blocks. I wheeled it in a light color, then overstamped with the vine and rose stamps from Watercolor Garden. Looked like a brick wall with roses climbing all over it. Pretty cool . . .

Default I would like to see

I was working making post-it note holders and I wish SU! would make the slit punch also in the opposite direction. It would have been so nice to cut the bottom flap with a 'frown' to slide the top flap into to close. I ended up using velcro but I would have liked it flat.

Anyone else like to see this??

These are stamps, but still...

Craft Spots in all 48 colors and available in families like the classic spots
matching 48-color ribbon

I love the "up close microchip" idea -- I'd love a circuit board background!

A brick or bricks would be good, hopefully the brick that was in the Sell-a-bration set will be in the next catty.

I know SU! had one several years ago, but with the popularity of the bee in IFB, I'm hoping they will have a honeycomb that "goes". (Haven't tried bubble wrap - was hoping to see a BG stamp.)

I'd like to have a full size background of the splatter stamp in Itty Bitty Backgrounds. It's one of my favorite stamps.

Default idea

I'd like the journalling pens in all 48 colors. I am pretty archivally concerned and can't bring myself to use the markers in my scrapbooks.

Newsprint sounds cool! Never thought of that!

I'd like to see a water background and a sheet music background.
Clouds would be cool, too.

A canvas BG stamp that actually covered the entire 5 1/2 card front? I am SOO frustrated by this. I held the canvas BG stamp up to my French Script BG and the canvas is way smaller. Anyone else frustrated by that?

I love the idea of an antique newsprint too! I've seen cards done using actual newspaper (classified section) used as a background and stamped - really neat.

Default Would love to see these stamps!

I hold a monthly scrapbook night and most all of my customers have school-age children. Here's what we would like to see in the new catalog...

A Slumber Party set
More sets for boys (right now everything looks either too yound or too old)
A Cheerleader Set (I've been asking for this one every since Go Team retired)
A School set that's not just crayons and books, but school activities.

Off the top of my head, I would like to see:

chicken wire again (it goes with Farm Fresh and a few others)
Musical Score (I have it still)
ice skating and cheerleading sets
More Simply Scrappin' Kits! Floral ones!
more textures like burlap etc
48 colors of pigment micro journalers. the ones we currently have not a small enough tip. I like my Zig .45's
craft spots!!!!!!! C'mon, if we're going to be in scrabpooking biz, we need all 48 craft spots! Great for croppin'!
More cute sets like Sassy Sayings!
More Coluzzle templates like tags and shadows etc.
Updated school themed sets for kids' albums etc

Finally, more two-step stampin'! I don't like coloring in much. I like it for special cards, but I really like to crank out a stack of cards or SB pages!

I'd like to see a soccer player set that doesn't look so juvenille. Something like Catchin' Air or Over the Top. The child-looking sets just don't cut it with my teenage boys!

The background stamp idea is great, however, I wish that they were just a touch bigger so that I can cover a 1/4 size card. It's frustrating having to cut down a card because of the edge.

I would love to see different words on a background set. Kind of like the patterned paper from SEI that says 'sweetie, darling, cutie, etc...' in different fonts and sizes. I would love one that is love, teen, baby, and things like that. I know I would buy it!

I would also like to see patterned paper in all of their colors. Like a stripe paper but it is all Rose Romance just different shades. Maybe I am confusing you. Kind of like the BG of this card that was posted this morning...here's the link, I hope she doesn't mind.

Gallery at Splitcoaststampers

I will also say that it would be nice to buy per sheet instead of having to buy the full package.

I just love the ideas of a news print background stamp and a microchip/circuit board backgrond stamp.

Then, they just need to make a computer stamp set and a realistic tool stamp set, and I would be in heaven!! Would cover all the guys in my life!
