What new stuff do you think will be in the new catalog??
Oh boy, I'm thinking about this already! I became a demo last July and I'm so loving it!
Looking at last year's catalog, we got lots of cool new stuff this year - what do you think might be in the new catalog in the way of embellishments? What would you like to see?? What do you think is realistic?
I'm kinda hoping for a tag punch (or 2 or 3!). I have our tag sheets, but they don't come in all the colors and I think it would be so cool to make punched tags with all colors and types of paper. I'd also like to see the colored pencils in all 48 colors. I have the Prismacolors and I've written the names of the coordinating SU colors on the Prisma pencils, but I really can't demo those. Oh, and watercolor pencils in all 48 colors too.
I would also like more of a variety of eyelets - especially more colors in the larger eyelets, and the ability to buy a certain color without the others in the assortment. I used up all my Lovely Lilac eyelets for a swap!!
This is fun! Twinkling H2O's and colored brads . . . also, different shaped brads . . . Stampin' Spots in craft ink . . . more colors of gingham ribbon . . . I'm sure there's more, but this is what I can come up with now.

I hope to see:
Loads of Love
and
a new accessory set to go with it. It would include new items to put the in the back of the truck like dogs, Easter eggs, watermellons, pumpkins etc..
I would love to see colored brads and the option to buy the Crafter's Tool kit in pieces...i.e. only the parts you want/can afford. I've had several customers think the holder is great, but they already have a hammer and eyelet stuff so they don't want to buy that stuff again. Watercolor pencils in all 48 colors would be great, too!
As for stamps, I'm really hoping for a nice soccer-themed set and some realistic dinosaurs and/or pirates...(can you tell I have boys?) and finally, I would SOOO love to see a bigger-sized alphabet (with 2 or 3 inch tall letters!)
Location: I could tell but then it wouldn't be a secret!

I'm definitely hoping for H2O's in SU! colors! And, I also want Loads of Love. I didn't buy it from the mini catalog and have to borrow my mom's all of the time now. It's my favorite set I don't have!
I wish in each mini they would have colors that reflect the season. Like in fall a bunch of earth elements eyelets, brads, scrapbooks, and etc. That way you can buy a little each season to reflect the projects you are currently working on.
Craft Spots
A bleach pad (probably needs to be a different chemical but one that will bleach things)
More colors of gingham ribbon
Some new colors of ink/cardstock (they really need a true deep purple, a baby blue, baby yellow, and a pumpkin color)
Go back to the old ink pads as many of us hate the new ones
More colluzle templates
A wheel with a pattern like the canvas background

Oh this would be wonderful! I love that little truck, it would be great to have lots of different sayings and items to put in the truck bed. What a great idea. I'd love to be able to use this truck for every holiday, season, & occasion. So many on SCS have come up with such good ideas using Loads of Love... I'm just not that clever. If SU would do something like this it would go to the top of my wish list!
I would love to see more embellishments. I go through Michael's occasionally to buy Sizzix stuff and I see all of the embellishments and I'm always torn - I want to stay with SU...
Also, have any of you used the Sidekick from Creative Memories? It attaches to the edge of your table and holds a drink and a small garbage bag. I would love to see something like that in the catalog. I could totally sell those!
Tag punches would be awesome, but there are so many sizes that I think it would be rough to have something for everyone + a mat.
Totes for customers to carry their products in would be nice too instead of running to CM or Michaels for this.
I also think stationary sets would be nice. And bring back the porcelain ornaments! I sold Staz-on to every customer who came to a stamp camp when I used those. Although I would bet the two of these wouldn't make enough money...
With CTMH, CM, and everything else out there, I think SU needs to be a little more competetive.

This is the first I've heard of someone wanting to go back to the old pads. I absolutely LOVE the new ones and have never had a problem in the 2 years + they've had them. They are sooo much easier to use on background stamps and big stamps plus they are a softer pad so it gives a lot better. You don't have to pound your stamp in it.
I think a lot of those are GREAT ideas!! I would like:
tag punches
gray waterproof ink pad
separate crafters tool kit pieces (I had JUST bought the eyelet kits when it came out, but I REALLY want the holder and the templates!!)
better, brighter watercolor pencils (like prismacolor) in ALL 48 colors!!
WAY more colors for the scrapbooks!! Including solid colors for the vinyl scrapbooks. I know they are called 'designer' scrapbooks, but I prefer solid colors, and I like the vinyl.
soccer set, cheerleader set, school set, with books, school bus, pencil, etc. Also one that's not so cutesy that would work more for college students.
(By the way, somebody asked for a pumpkin color...I've found that really rust is a GREAT pumpkin color!! It makes great Halloween pages that always get rave reviews when people look through my albums! )
That's all I can think of right now...I'm sure I'll agree with a lot of other posts later on, too!
I would love to see Watercolor paper to go along with our Aqua Painters!
Also more colors of gingham ribbon along with some selections of a Swiss dot ribbon.
Another thing Ive hoped for for awhile is a face stamp...just the face features drawn realistically without the head or hairline drawn around it. A woman or a child would be my preference.
I also agree whole-heartedly with the plea for colored and shaped brads and the larger selection of background papers!
-another color family with the "real fruit" colors like blueberry, cherry, lime, etc...
-more punches (tag punches would be awesome!!)
-colored eyelets available to purchase individually by color (buttons too?!)
-more large eyelets and more shapes!
-more ribbon
-bigger packages of the Fancy Fibers...or sell them individually by color
-more designer papers
But.....as a Canadian....mostly I hope they revisit their exchange rate and pricing...perhaps lower pricing and raise and lower shipping when the dollar drops. Right now it is just not in line with the actual exchange rate and it's a killer!!

Ditto on the tag punches, brads and eyelets (so we can have them in every color). And being able to buy an individual color of a certain eyelet would be nice.... especially if you are doing swaps and want to use eyelets but can't afford to buy several containers of assorted colors.
I love the new pads, I don't want them to change.
It will be fun to see what is added to this list. Has anyone gone to the "suggestion box" on the SU website and requested any of these things? I've never done it.
I would like to see more "boy" stamps, I have a Daughter and a Son, My daughter and I can pick out a ton of stamps for her but My Son and I can only come up with a couple... he is 7
..............char
surf a little, laugh alot, stamp often!!!!!!!!!
There are so many good ideas listed here (I hope you are sending them on to SU!); I would add to the list:
dyeable buttons
reverse the pad on the Craft pads so it is not upside down when closed (a huge mess when the glycerine starts dripping)
aqua painters available without getting stuck with the large one (still haven't used it--much prefer the medium)
xyrons in the catalog so we can use it as part of workshops

I would love little shaped brads. and bigger brads. craft spots would be awesome. a script alpha set. more designer paper sets. and a scrappers variety stamp set in the spring fling style but with like 12 shapes like pumpkins, x-mas trees, bells, books, flowers...well you get the picture.
Oh and a "less expensive" starter set. All the ones in the catty are around 50 bucks. a 25 or 30 dollar collection would really be great- with a choice of color family.
I would love to see a different size album like 8x8 I love the square look, but sometimes 6 is too small and 12 is too big...I want something managable that I can put more than one photo on. Would anyone else like this too?
Jen
yes, especially a NON-STINKY bleach pad! oh, and if it would be a cardstock-bleaching only that would be great cause knowing me I'd drop it on my pants and bleach them! oy.
I would love to see ink pads & cardstock in true pastels - lighter bliss blue, almost amethyst, pretty in pink
a better circle cutting system (I hate that stinkin' Coluzzle!!!) I wish they'd come up w/something like the CM circle/shape cutting system...
I would love to see background papers that are monotone (like the old ones from a couple of years back, I really miss those!)
- a cheerleading stamp set (how many years have we gone without one?!)
- a soccer stamp set
- a stamp set with a wine bottle, wine glasses, martini glasses, beer steins (they could call it "Have a Drink") of course, I think this is too risque for them, but I can dream....
