AQUA PAINTER
HOW DOES THE AQUA PAINTER WORK? I SEE IT IN THE BOOK AND I SEE THAT ALOT OF PEOPLE ARE USING IT BUT THAT'S IT.

Hi Cynthia, The Aquapainter had a reservoir in the barrel. It has a nylon tip that the water flows through. so....you fill the barrel with water and squeeze just a little to moisten the tip. Now you're ready to dip that tip in a pool of ink on your pad lid and get just the right concentration to watercolor. OR after coloring with watercolor pencils, go over with the painter to shade as desired. To clean the brush just squeeze water onto a paper ttowel and go to the next color. You can fill one with bleach and bleach out the interior parts of a stamped and embossed image. Then you can leave it or color in with the method of your choice. Also fill with Future Floor Polish and dip in Pearl Ex powder to paint without needing to use a fixative.
Order yourself a set and get crazy......very easy to use.

What's the difference between the aqua painter and blenders?
For those that have used the aqua painter, what's the difference between that and the blender pens? Which do you like better? Is there something that you can do with the aqua painter that you can't with the blender pens?

I haven't posted much on this site as of yet but I am hoping to get more involved here. I received an information sheet from my upline about the aqua painter... thought I would share it with everyone. Hope it helps... I have not used the aqua painters yet.

Tiffany - They are very different! The aqua pens will not work with the Pastels, because they're too wet. But the look you get from using the ink with the Aqua Pen is fantastic! It's simple to make a beautifully colored card. I like the blender pens, and have used them for some time to color in with Pastels, but I will probably use the Aqua Pens a little more. It seems easier for a beginner, too.

Aqua Pens
I haven't seen the new catty yet so I'm not sure if I have the same brand but the description sound the same. If so buy, buy, buy!!! I have the blender pens to use with my watercolor pencils and love them. The "aqua pens" were a gift along with some watercolor paints. The biggest difference is the aqua pens are wetter than the blender pens. You can do so much with them like blending with watercolor paints or watercolor crayons giving you even more options to decorate. Hadn't thought of using them with my stamp pads...must..go...stamp......

I really love the look of watercolouring, but found a wet paintbrush a little tedious (hard to keep it the same consistently of wetness throughout your project when you have to keep dipping it back into water). So, I anxiously awaited the arrival of my aquapainter in my Convention order and let me tell you - it didn't disappoint! I LOVE it! Really really easy to use. Lovely results. You can watercolour an image much quicker. I'm so happy with it! A must-have.
My only word of advice would be to ensure you don't sqeeze out too much water - your basic black classice ink will bleed a little if it gets too wet. You can always blot your image with a paper towel if this happens, but you really don't need to sqeeze the painter - the water just kinda flows out itself.

I have a question: Has anyone tried putting Crystal Effects in the aquapainter. I'd much rather use this instead of furniture polish as I can sell CE at the party. Is there a flaw in my thinking? I'm new to aquapainters and am unsure of its capabilities.
I'd love an answer,

I would not put Crystal Effects in my Aqua Painter. I'm afraid it would ruin it. Crystal Effects is basically a clear adhesive. I have used an old water color brush with it before and it is very hard to clean out of the bristles even when you wash it IMMEDIATELY! I'm fairly certain it would clog the aqua painter and you would never be able to use it again.
This is just my opinion though. I'm not gonna try it to find out.  |

I read somewhere they did that at convention but that person didn't like how dark it was....but I am betting you can. I haven't tried yet.....I have some Niji waterbrushes but the little "hole" the water goes into is waaay to small to try that!

Hellooooo my Twin! I am busy here getting ready to stamp tonight, but wanted to give a quick response! Kar: At Convention, we put two or three drops of reinker in a small plastic lid. We just gave the painter a slight squeeze to get the water going, then dipped the tip into the reinker. I LOVED the way it worked, you could make it dark or light depending on the amount of water or ink you got on the tip. I would do it that way, but you can also squeeze the stamp pad to pool some ink, and use the top of the case to dip the painter into. But, if you do that, be sure to dry the lid WELL with a paper towel because I understand that water in them will mold your pad. YUCK! HTH

That is to funny.. hubby would really be wound then!! My demo fund is 1/3 of the way there.... Not sure when I will start though, my DH sort of blew up when I said that I was 1/3 there and be ready to sign up soon. We are taking on a 63 cow herd, with 140 replacement head, and building a new house and between all that he says "How you gonna find any time to do anything like that" He was all for it till you all started helping me save up!! roflmao.... Oh well.. told him only had to have 4 parties a year, or else just buy it all myself!!! hehehehee Oh well he WILL soften up.. I guarantee it!! lol
