Ooh. I'm glad to see that the marvy punches have the lever on them. I've learned the hard way not to buy punches without that lever or "tail" -- too hard to punch otherwise. Those scalloped punches look awesome.

Marvy products are so popular and they make so many varieties of punches. You might want to call the store before driving to ask for the specific punch you want.
I ordered mine from JoAnn's and they cancelled my order without even emailing to tell me. I went to check the status and found it cancelled. I guess that is what they do when they are out of stock so I ordered from http://www.franticstamper.com/marvy_punches.htm and they shipped really quick. I love them!
I'll have to check locally at my Joann's. They aren't a very good store for punches though. It is kind of a messy store but the people are nice. If I don't find it there, I'll wait for my Joanns.com 50% coupon since the giga oval scallop is $20! It was cheaper on craftsforless but they were out of stock. Thanks for all the info.......I appreciate it! ;)

They are the clever lever craft punches. If you click on shopping and then paper crafting, you'll find them to order online. I have the Mega and Giga scallop ovals and love them!
I noticed you live in Oregon, so you might have a Craft Warehouse near you. I know they carry it at the one I work at, in Idaho, so I'm pretty sure the Oregon locations would carry it too. The downside is they don't have coupons very often, and they don't take competitor coupons either. Sometimes they go on a decent sale, but not recently. If you take a class there, though you get a 20% discount on your whole order after the class. Hope this helps!

And if you click on the "Online Specials" way up in the right hand corner Nearly all the punches are ON SALE!!! HALF PRICE!!

I followed your post and their sale items are the older punches without the ergonomic handle - a steal if you don't have a problem with them. They do have the newer ones as well tho.
But, Garnet, did you notice their other special on different shaped punches? Sure wish I had strength in my hands to handle this bargain.
OK now that i know where to buy the punches...which size punches (mega or giga) do in need to get the oval inside the scallop like in this very cute card?
Here is a card I did with both the Giga and Mega scallop oval punches. The White oval is the Mega size and the black is the giga size - both clever lever style. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
I ordered my punches from createforless.com too after lengthy research on the best price. Joanns.com did have them on sale (I think it was 1/2 price) before but I'm not sure when the next time they'll be on sale. If you can wait it might be worth tracking. I wanted the clever lever because I have a hard time with the older style.
I ordered the mega oval and giga scallop oval punches, I can't say If I got the sizes right for layering yet. I receive the shipment Friday.
Hope that helps!
I have seen some beautiful cards on this site which have used scalloped edge punches and would really like to buy them. I have searched and searched but not yet found, so I thought I would ask all you very knowledgable ladies for your help. I love this site and all the wonderful advice and knowledge that is shared so openly.
Marvy Uchida makes them. www.uchida.com is their site and you can order online. I'm actually on hold right now for their customer service...I need info on the size difference between the Mega and the Giga - just an FYI the Giga is generally larger than the Mega.
I got mine at that same site. None of the LSS in our area had them....I think what you see on most of the cards is layered Mega and Giga sizes....That is what I got anyway, works great....Many stamps fit inside.
I have searched far and wide, high and low without any luck locally, so I broke down yesterday and ordered from uchida.com. I probably could have found better prices, but I just want the darn things and am tired of searching for buried treasure (ok, enough with the corney clichs)

createforless.com sells them (and they have a notify me feature if they're out of stock). This site has the best prices that I have found on the punches themselves (don't know how their shipping prices are).
i bought all of them (finally) one at a time from joann fabrics online when there was a coupon. they were just too cute to resist. sigh. no will power. just think, i could have spent that $$ on stamps!!!
