There is a product out there that some of you are using that you call Stickles??
What is it, (is it some sort of DD)? Would love to know what it is and where to get it (if it is DD).
Thanks for you help:-D

Don't use them as much as I did before I became a demonstrator, but they are great - it's glue with glitter (or mica or whatever shimmery material they use) in it. They come in lots of colors in a small squeeze tube. The glue dries clear and you're left with a beautiful, shimmery/glittery effect. I still have mine because I just can't part with them. Kinda like Prima Flower hoarding...

TAC carries it in their catalog...it comes in 16 different colors! I love how Stickles gives you a glittery sparkle but isn't messy or thick like glue. Even the black is extremely cool...check out some of Trudee's work to see it in action! I would have never picked that color until I saw her use it.

Wow, that is a lot of colors! Just like primas - difficult to decide what colors to get first.
Is there a website that sells them? I see TAC, but I don't know anyone who does that. I'm thinking maybe a site like Addicted to Scrapbooking, where I can order other stuff as well. How much do they run?
It depends on the bottle size. They run $2-$4 dollars each. I got mine at addictedtoscrapbooking.com with their $10 coupon. I'm not sure what this month's code is though. They have primas too, an even bigger bonus.
Our Michaels here does NOT carry them ... I wish they did, it would make things easier. I always order them online from "Frantic Stamper", who is wonderful to deal with btw.
The Hobby Lobby stores here carry them. I believe they sell them in packs of three and have 2 or 3 packs to choose from. I think that they were in the aisle with the stamping stuff and scrapbooking pens/adhesive section.
Here in Michigan (and I think Ohio, Kentucky, & Illinois) we have Meijers Stores (like Wal-mart, but better in my opinion;) ). In their scrapbooking section, they have Stickles and they are only $1.99 everyday. I tend to add a few to my cart every couple of weeks, hee hee, that way it comes out of the grocery budget....
But that is also how I wound up with two Silvers....

Stampin Gerri- if you're still out in Ardrossan, you should be able to make it to Western Educational in Edmonton (on 111 Ave and about 119th Ave, across form the Super Flea Market and next to the Mira Health Centre). They carry all manner of Stickles for about 3.50 a piece. Western Educational also carries all likes of *stamps* so beware. And if you ask them nicely, I believe they are 10% off coupons this month.
I've found them at AC Moore in a crystal, red and green...but TAC carries them in 14 colors! I'm sure there are other online scrapping stores that carry all the colors too. It is acid free and its a type of glitter glue so there is NO mess involved. I love how it sparkles "just enough" (I am not normally a sparkle type but I do use this!)...just be patient and give it plenty of time to dry! Do a few cards and set them aside!!
FYI on price ... it should average about $2. I've never paid more than $2.25 EVER, so if you see them for more than that, it's too high! They are awesome and my number one must-have embellishment!
I buy mine from Frantic Stamper ... www.franticstamper.com
She's great to purchase from ... fast shipping, nice lady! I'm in Canada and I cant find any locally at all ...
I'm not into glitter either but Stickles really are easy to use. Has anyone else had a problem, though, with bleaching of ink under them? I put a dab in the center of Passion Pink flowers I had stamped on white paper, and the ink bleached out or faded under the Stickles. Is that just not a good use for this product? TIA for any info!
The only inks I've had trouble with are Kaleidacolors and Bazzinks. I think it's just a matter of how water-based the inks are. If the glue hits it, they act like they would when they get wet from water (think about what splatters of water do to some inks). I generally uset them now with Palettes or with something I've done with a Dove blender and watercolor pencils/aquacrayons. Beautiful effect--just enough sparkle without overdoing it!

O.k. guys, what are stickles? I've seen this mentioned several times on this site, but still not sure what they are or where to get them. I feel a little stupid since i've been stamping awhile and still have no clue what these are. I take it that its like glitter maybe? Thanks! :-D
Stickles are a product made by ranger- they are essentially glitter glue, however, they are a very fine glitter, and a fine tip- and made specifically for paper crafting- so they are acid free!
I had never heard of them until I started with The Angel Company- TAC has 14 colors- I have since seen "Christmas" 3-packs at Hobby Lobby.
The drying time is about 20-30 minutes, but for techniques that don't require loose glitter- they really really reduce the mess!
