Default PRISMACOLOR PENCILS

Would you please re-post the code for the pencils. When I enter the code you have listed, it comes up as invalid. I'm thinking there is supposed to be a letter or number between the B and the A instead of the symbol listed. Thanks!

Sorry I have no idea what the b is doing there. Try the code without the b and it should work fine.

So it should read:

AL3-3602

Default pencils

I ordered on Saturday- they arrived today!!! WHEW!!!

I used the codes:
Prisma code AL2-3602
Promo code for $20.00 off DZ2-PRD20 add this and $20.00 is deducted at checkout!

Now, I just have to wait for Dick Blick to get in the gamsol......

Angie S. on TJ website sent the following info- best info I have seen on using the pencils and there is an article on color that is outstanding!!!!!

Go to <http://www.gingerstamp.com/pencils/>
For the directions and explanation of this technique.

Go to <http://www.dickblick.com> to order Gamsol and blending stumps.

Go to <http://tinyurl.com/56fqv> to order the dauber bingo bottles to put the Gamsol in, these will prevent you from spilling it and it evaporating.

The pencils are NOT watercolor pencils they are regular pencils I use Prismacolor because that is what I have.

Blending pen fluid is NOT the same solution as the Gamsol and I would not put the Gamsol in my blending pen because it is a very thin solution and I think it would make a mess.

This link <http://www.gingerstamp.com/color/>
Is another article by Debbie Gimbel that talks about color, I bought this book as well as the Magic Color book when at convention; you can read it and print it out for free!!!

Sharpen blending stumps with an Emory board get some of the cheapy ones from Wal-Mart and keep them with your pencils. I also got a battery powered eraser from Wal-Mart with the white eraser refills; you can erase color BEFORE you blend if you feel it is too heavy!

Default VIKING ORDER

I just placed my order and the total with tax and everything was $41.25....what a deal. I saw these at Michael's over the weekend for $150! Now I just hope that I can learn to use them. I have a nephew that is going to art school and I questioned him about them and he said they are the best. Maybe he can give me some pointers too. Thanks to everyone for sharing this information.

I just got my order placed too, got the pencils and the $20 additional savings so my total was $38.46. Both codes worked, when I went on the site, in the search bar I put the code: AL#-36o2 (that's a letter O, not the zero) and then it brought me right to the Prisma color pencils for $56.98, then right before I checked out, I entered DZ2-PRD20 in the promo code and it took $20.00 off, so my total came up before I processed my card and submitted to process. Also, before I checked out there was a box to check to get a coupon for $20.00 off my NEXT $50.00 order, how cool is that. I couldn't believe it until I saw the confimrmation slip.
Thank you all for posting this information, what a savings and deal. I love love love these pencils!! can't wait to "sharpen" my skills!

Another thought to my question - If you must be a Demo to use the Viking codes, can you be in any business with a sales tax #? My husband & I are self-employed, we have an Auto Repair Garage.

Lisa, no, you don't have to be a demo. This is for products sold on www.viking.com website. They are a supply company...have office supplies, art supplies, etc. The codes are what you need to get the special prices.

I talked with Viking today and the lady said the Prismacolor pencils should be in stock sometime next week. To get the 20% off coupon they can't be ordered over the phone. I'll try again next week!!

I'm glad you got some info, though...I'll check back next week...

Beware... I got a big ol' thumb blister just like KarryLyne said! That's ok... it goes well with the smaller blister on the middle finger. I have a matching set. Sharpening sucks! I did feel better about the blisters when I was done sharpening and able to fill out the nifty color chart that someone posted... that was satisfying.

I have about 50 pencils that are left over from my college days...but I remember the sharpening very well. I don't usually sharpen any until I'm going to use it.

So, where's this nifty color chart that someone posted?? That would be cool...

I was unable to order them online using the $20 coupon because the pencils are on backorder and the website would not recognize the coupon with no $ amount in the price field. Anyway .... I called and ordered them over the phone. The rep I spoke with said to check my invoice when they arrive, and if the discount does not show up, to call and they will credit me.

OK...I definitely talked to a lazy representative...she told me I couldn't order them with the coupon while they were on backorder... :?
