i wanted to get the sketch up for you all. that is why I didn't put in ALL the little journaling things. just look at the pic and you will know what i mean!

Hi, I've never done a scrapbook challenge before (just started doing the card challenges). Does this have to be a 12 x 12 ?? I only have books that are 81/2 x 11 so I won't be able to play if the size is a must!
Hope I can play -- I had already started a list for a page like this since I saw the layout in he issue.

There are no size requirements in any of the challenges, just adjust them to fit the books you are working in. Glad to see you have found the scrapbook forum and can't wait to see some of your pages. Don't forget to come back here and post the link to your page so we know you finished it.

I am glad to hear that the size doesn't matter, however, it really didn't matter as I went ahead and started the page anyway! Like many of you had said, I too had planned on doing this anyway and seeing this challenge just gave me the push I needed. I'm almost done. Hoping to be able to upload before the Sunday cut off. I live in Alberta - does anyone know what time the sunday cut off would be in my time zone?? -- I don't want to upload too late !! Thanks.

Yeah, got my pages done. I was going to do only a 1 -page layout but trying to fit 100 things that make me happy on one page was impossible. Thanks for the challenge.

I had so many pictures - seriously like an inch and a half thick - of the kids' cousins staying with us for the week way back in 2001 - I will do pages for their albums as well, but for my album and with this sketch and with a wheel (thanks to Peggy and Karin) and a lot of eliminating I have a dps for their visit instead of an ALBUM! Thanks, you girls are da bomb!
This was harder and took longer than I thought it would...but I've got it done!! WHEW!! I've got 120 on my list!!! Got it done...just in time?!:rolleyes:
The layout looked alot better in the magazine, I was disappointed in how mine turned out and definetly will need to go back and add some 'bling bling'..it is embellisment deprived :( However, it does remind me of a very fun summer weekend at the lake with family. Okay okay so maybe if I actually 'followed' the sketch it would have turned out better....sorry! I had these lake pictures of the children and thought I could tweak it for my little album.
Here's a page about my Grandpa who passed away in 1993. The page is inspired by this sketch challenge. My photo is kind of dark - it looks brighter IRL.
