This week our WT challenge was suggested by stampkinz. The challenge is to find ways to RE-use products in your card making. Stampkinz created a card by reusing a card front of a commercial card and making it her own. She would love other ideas of the same type. You may also use other printed products such as newspapers, magazines, junk mail etc. to broaden the challenge a little. Please DO NOT recycle hand-made cards that have been sent to you. We do not want to offend anyone by you reusing their own creative work. I know that quite a few of us hold them dear to our hearts.
Please remember to put WT79 in your keywords section and post a link back here so that we can all see your work. You may upload as many cards or other projects as you like to this thread for as long as you want as long as they are new creations. If you would like to share an already uploaded creation with us, that would be great as well, as long as you limit past creations to two or three.
My DSL connection is up and running, and oh boy I am cruising now. I had to finish looking at yesterday's challenge thread while I waited for this one.
I hope I can find something to play along....almost sounds like cheating.
Great Thursday Morning to you all.....Heidi
This sounds like fun. And also This morning I got a pm from someone that said my Avatar did not match my sig line. She said the avatar picture is of someone in a bikini. I don't even have a pic of a bikini on my computed anywhere!!I don't see that at all. So I am anxious to submit this post and then look to see what she was talking about. I think she must have been kidding but it was from someone that I do not know. Kay
EDIT! Sonia solved my dilemma, I think. The pm was referring to my previous avatar and my current sig. I'm DUH today.

What a great idea for a challenge, I can't wait to play later! Here's one I did a long time ago I think for JanVSN. It used a picture off of a Xmas card I received. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
What a fabulous idea! There are always a few commercial cards that are just too pretty or too cute to throw out, so this sounds like a perfect challenge. Thanks, Julia.
Okay I just hit the jackpot....last year my kid's school did a fundraiser selling wrapping paper...they sent home little 4-inch square samples of the actual paper...I just found them in one of my stamp drawers...I guess I figured I would use it someday, so how about today? Now to choose one....Heidi
oh, I really, really want to try this one! I start my day with such good intentions, but really it has been since monday that I got a challenge done. Have to go to school with my kids today, but I am crossing my fingers that I get to play--if not, I will drool over all of you talented ladie's cards and leave plenty of comments!
Great challenge & just what I needed. My DH just gave me a pile of sample card fronts that he received in the mail. He asked me to do something with them to turn them into Christmas cards for him to give out at work. Now I have even more of a reason to get creative with the fronts! I have major company coming tonight, but maybe tomorrow I can get to it.
Here is my card for this challenge. I have another idea so hopefully I will have time for that too. I put DS down for his nap...unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) my stash of received cards where in that room. I found this cool gift bag that I bought and one of the kids managed to put a crease in it before I could use it. So this is my found item...
I see I am not the only one with the idea to recycle a photograph, phew... because I was hoping that was falling in line with what you were looking for. I did a photo altering technique from the resource section, love the result but it is hard to capture in a photo.
Julia, as an aside, I LOVED your card the other day with the white Stazon and acetate!!!!!!!!!!! So fabu!!! I had to try it myself today and am just so thrilled with it. Thanks so much for sharing your time and creativity with all of us!! I appreciate all your efforts. The combined talents on SCS have made me such a better stamper!!!!
Here's the link to my card -- but did I mess up putting it in this category -- on re-reading, is it ONLY printed matter we are to be re-using -- sorry if I messed up, but here's my link:
I've got to leave for awhile. Will try to play later today. All nice cards so far.

I took advice from Dee (StampincuzILuv2) for taking my picture. She adviced me to shot from the side. Thanks Dee!!! It's raining today I I didn't want to go outside.
Can't wait til the next challenge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think I'm addicted.
I did the challenge. This was alot of trouble for me to figure out how to put it all together to coordinate with a non-stamped image. My card is simple but my brain is tired. I'd rather stamp than cut....and I've realized my stamp supplies need some organizational help...spent too much time trying to find things...blahblahblah...I need some lunch.
