SU Color Combos
Ok so with all the talk about different color combos I thought why not create an online database for them. So my DH wrote the code and we came up this.
SU Color Combos
If you know a color(s) you want to work with, chose that color(s) from the first box and hit search at the bottom. It will show you all the combos that contain that color(s). Feel free to add any combos you want. If your combo has been entered it will tell you that it's already there. There's a "surprise me" button that will create a 5 color-combo at random. Have fun!
I enjoy all the different color combinations everyone has been coming up with so far. Did you know that if you include all the current, recently retired and neutral colors, there are over 1.07 BILLION color combinations
Disclaimer: I am NOT profiting from this AT ALL. I have included the copyright and a link to SU's web page. This is for everyone to use and enjoy.

Am I doing something wrong? I went to the site, and bookmarked it, but when I click on a color and hit search, it just reloads with no colors, not even the one I selected. It sounds like a great tool, if I could just figure it out.
Tell your dh I said Thank you!!

This is AWESOME! I can't wait to use this when I'm in a color slump--which is almost anytime I sit down to create something original!! I'll be using new color combos with reckless abandon! Your DH is a keeper !!!!

What browser are you using? Dh tested it with all PC browsers (IE, Firefox, recent Opera browsers, etc..), however we don't have any access to Mac's.
Try refreshing the page, maybe that might help.

Wow, this is the coolest thing! Tell your dh THANKS!! I have a question about the other color options. I understand picking one color and doing a search but are the other options just so we could enter a color combo if we wanted? Or is there another reason that I'm missing?

You may add any color combo you'd like Just pick the colors and click the "save combo" button. Your color combo will then be added to the list HTH

Thank you. I can't imagine how long it must have taken - but how neat to have this at our fingertips - or at a few clicks of the mouse. And thank you for sharing with all of us. I have bookmarked this - hope that will work as well.

This is a great help to me as I am new to the creative process and color challenged. The great thing about SU is the variety of colors, the bad thing about SU is having so many choices to coordinate the large variety of colors (LOL)... This will make my CASE'ing a little more "creative" since I can now use my favorite color combos without fear! Thanks for sharing...

Hmm what browser are you using? I'll mention it to DH, he wants to know anything that goes wonky like that. It might be the type of code he used, it's kinda new. Notice how the whole page never refreshes, just the contents of the blocks?? Hee thinks that's SOO cool LOL
BTW: If you don't like a color you (or the surprise me button) picked, just click on the empty space above almost amethyst, and it will clear that color

Thank you to you and your husband. This is great. I struggle with color combinations and this will help a lot. This site gets bookmarked right below my SCS bookmark. I'll be using it a lot!!!!

Absolutely AWESOME!!! What a time saver. BIG THANKS to you and hubby!!!
How did you come up with the color combinations in the database? Are they based on the color wheel, or cards in the catty, or something else??
