Default You thought Clarence was bad

Ok ladies, I had many a giggle over all your clarence posts  but I have to say that Charming Children in the new catalogue is very creepy - too many horror shows about cute little kiddies doing people in

I agree -especially the boys. They are like Children of the Corn kids-something just not right with the boys.

The one little girl reminds me of the girl from According to Jim. The others just creep me out. I totally agree.

Eeeeewwwww I agree. That set is my absolute least favorite ever. I defiantely don't think anyone can make a card with those kids that will make me like it even a little bit.

Noooooo!! Don't say that!! I saw it almost immediately in the catalog and my first thought was "Oh, I LOVE that!!" I bet it will make some very cute cards, but it's not at the very top of my Wish List so I didn't get it. Now I think I have to, just to make some cards to post here!!

Princess Mi - I am taking that as a personal challenge! LOL Now, you'll have to wait a couple of months, because we are a BROKE Navy family, but I will get it, and will do something you'll have to take your words back over!!!

Aww, I think they're cute! Of course, I haven't seen those creepy movies, so to me these kids just look normal. Plus it's nice to see faces from different ethnic backgrounds!

Sorry, but I have to agree also - I don't like the kids - they are creepy. I'm not sure any amount of "cute" cards in the gallery would make me want that set. JMHO.

Me either! Clarence (sorry Jan, but it's true) is almost as weird. But the Kreepy Kids take the Kake in that department!!

I just looked at them again-the little girl saying "Oh My" is the only one I think is charming-the others -yuck!
And the little girl saying "Oh, Hi!" I thought was okay at first I just noticed has an unusually large noggin'.

I agree with PrincessMi , save your $$$ LOL

You guys are cracking me up. I'm from Iowa and they just had an anniversary celebration because Children of the Corn was made near here. I still get creeped out when I stop at a stop sign in the middle of nowhere and am sitting next to a corn field. Yikes. I will never look at the page the same way again!!!

Okay ~ now I'm freaking a little about the Children of the Corn thing. I just realized, I'm surrounded by corn fields where I work. That was a freaky movie but Signs and the corn fields were freakier.

if so, that would be the ONLY thing I could think of to use that set for. don't like it.

These children are not getting a champion in me. While I don't see the creepiness that you all seem to, they don't appeal to me very much. I'm sticking to Clarence!

I am absolutely heart broken! This is one my favorite new sets. The two little girls look like my sweet niece and her best friend. I am so challenged to make you guys change your minds about those precious children!

I wish so bad ... that a similar set existed for eldery folks!

I think the main problem with that set is that the proportions aren't right. The heads are much too big for their little tiny arms. Yuck!
But the one I think is the creepiest (besides that ugly santa and the three men in a tub from Rhyme Time) is the one with the evil-looking puppies! I'd be afraid to sleep at night with dogs like that in the house!

Yup, Santa looks deranged...you got that right! He's creepy!!

And as for the Rhyme Time one, I can honestly say if it weren't for Jan's GORGEOUS card sample in the gallery, I'd be tempted to burn that whole set too!! It reminds me of a Canadian comedian, Dave Broadfoot. He was on TV one night, reciting nursery rhymes and said..."Rub a Dub Dub. Three Men in a Tub? What the heck is up with THAT?!"

I crack up every time I flip the page in the catty and see that set now. I just see his face with that shocked  look on his face!

I am soooo relieved to read this thread! When I saw the Kreepy Kids set I said to my DD - " Gee, I bet when they smile wider their fangs show!" And then I felt bad, because they are, after all...children. They definitely belong with the Hallowe'en stuff!!!

I think the 2 girls in "Charming Children" are cute, but the boys....shivers! Yuck! The Santa from "Magic & Wonder" looks like a Santa from the Twilight Zone or something...eek! I am glad I am not the only one that felt this way.

I do not like that set. And as for Santa he's a little strange looking. I think I will pass on both!! It's gonna take a lot to change my mind!!!!

Poor Clarence, he's going to have a complex, being put in the same catagory as those Freaky Kids! He might have to go on a cruise to get over the shock. I hear one is sailing to the Mexican Riviera, maybe he could get on that one. :P

PS Jan ~ Even with all your ink I don't think these four could be helped, tee hee hee
