So here's a question:
For the SAT regional, the girls will get out around 4:30-5pm from the meeting on Friday. They are then going back to the hotel to stamp, like a shoebox party. Then they're going to dinner at 7:30p.m.
Do y'all want to do something like that? I've never done a shoebox party, and to be honest, rooms for 30 of us to gather in to stamp will cost money that I don't know if y'all want to pay. I know the SAT chicks got their hotel rooms they're going to stamp in through Lila's husband's freebies he gets from travelling so much ;) Since I used a lot of my husband's points for MY room, I know I can't swing anymore.
Are you interested in actual stamping? Or do you just want to get together to visit, swap & eat? Let me hear from you! __________________

I will go over the potential restaurants tonight with DH, after he's gotten settled in a bit. He has meetings downtown a lot, so he'll be able to give some guidance there. __________________

oh yea
and I will be arriving on Friday night - takes about 5 hours from Pensacola FL where I live, mom and I plan to leave (she is a demo too) around 3pm or so (DH gets off work at 2:30pm) - so we will be in on Friday night around 8 or 9ish our time which is 9 or 10 ATL time (they are on Eastern time).
So let us know if the event is on Friday night and we need to arrange a way to leave earlier...

Since I live so close to Atlanta, I wasn't going to get a hotel room. I was going to drive to Atlanta Saturday morning. And it looks like some people will be driving up Friday and won't get in until late. Is it possible to do a gathering Saturday evening? I'm not sure for those who are going on Friday when they're leaving.
If the get together is going to be on Friday, I may be able to come. I'll just have to make the drive twice or something. But let us know -- thanks for organizing everything!

I'm going to the Saturday session, but I'm flying in from Raleigh, NC just for the day so I will miss whatever wonderful event you have planned. Boo Hoo! 
But, I hope to see you all during the session! Maybe we could all print out our user ID for SCS on an Avery label and stick it on our name tag that SU provides? Just an "identifying" idea! |

Hey y'all!
Sorry I wasn't updating last night, but I had to watch Alias (see my avatar ). Of course, my boys wanted to watch American Idol and DH wanted to watch CSI: NY so...
I've added Kelli (ktja0227), Stacy (crazy4stampin), Hope, Vicki, Cindy, & Sandra. Hope & Vicki were added to Friday since I thought they were with you, Barbara. JLMK if that's not correct.
Regarding our plans, that's what I'm working on now. Friday night I think would be best because at least we know for certain that some of the Friday ladies can attend. If we do it on Saturday, they probably won't stick around just to see our cute faces
I'm not positive about the shoe box swap yet, only because I'm trying to find a place, and way, that we can stamp. I'm checking into a hospitality suite/meeting room, but that's going to cost us money.
And I just got the list of restaurants yesterday, so I'll start the calling today. If anyone has a way of getting free rooms at one of the hotels close to the Georgia World Congress Center
(285 Andrew Young International Boulevard, NW Atlanta 30313), let me know! ;) I know that's how the San Antonio ladies have room to stamp. Otherwise, I'll keep checking. It will take a couple of days to get the details ironed out, but I'm working on it, never fear!
My plans are definitely dinner and swapping. I'd like our reservations to be around 6pm so we can get our food at a decent time. Whenever I travel with DH and it's a dinner similar to what we're planning, the group ends up getting their food about 1 1/2 hours after they're seated.
I'm going to run to the grocery store to pick up some meds and I'll be back in just a bit. I'll start calling the restaurants then.
