I think the coupon code is actually DZ2-PRD20; not DZ2-PRD2D. I'm trying it now and the one with "D" at the end doesn't work.

I just went to Viking and it shows the price as $97.00. Where do you put the coupon code in to get the $38.00 price?

Okay... I finally bought the pencils!
Sandy,
I tired just putting in the prisma code in the first post on this page, but it said "not availble."
So I typed in prisma.
Then clicked on the set of 120 for $97.
Then when that came up I put in the Prisma code - AL2-3602
Then it showed the pencils for $56.
I clicked add to cart.
Then I clicked veiw items in cart.
When you're looking at the items in your cart it will ask if you have a promotional code
You have to put in this code DZ2-PRD20 in the box and also fill in the quantity box.
This will add a $20 coupon to your order.
Then clicked check out.
It will subtract the $20 in check out.
It did not charge me shipping, but it did charge a handling fee.
Also tax.
Hope that hopes.

It shows the pencils at $56...& the $20 coupon in my cart but it doesn't deduct the $20 off my total ??? My DH had done it before & it was like that & the $20 didn't come off they had to refund us...has anyone elses shown $36...before the final "place order" click ????

The SCS group made me do it. I ordered the Prismacolor set. It was 40.63 with tax and S&H. I have read about these for months now, and I kept telling myself, you don't need them. But I read this thread, and I had to order them. Well they are to be delivered on Tues. and it's all your fault. I can't wait to get them.

I had to call the 1-800 number, and they took the 20$ off for me.

It will not show the $20 subtracted until you go to check out. It's the last thing it does before you finalize the order.

When I finalized my order, it did not come off. I had to call. I did it twice, and it did not take it off, until I called the 1-800 number.

I ordered mine last night too!! It didn't show the $36.00 price until the end when it asks you for what type of payment. Hope that helps!! Can't wait until Tuesday!!!
Oh P.S.: If you have used the $20.00 coupon in the past you can't use it again

THANK YOU! ... THANK YOU! ... THANK YOU!!!!!
I just got online to order these pencils from DickBlick.com for $80 for 120, and I thought ... let me check in with SCS first. Boy, am I glad I did! I just ordered my set from Viking and it will arrive Tuesday. The total was $40.77! Quite a steal compared to what I would have paid at Dick Blick!! Thanks again for the code!!
PS -- This site is going to ruin me financially!!! Its gotten to the point where I have a credit card hidden near the computer!!!

I think that I'll just forget to tell the DH about that order! SCS is a bad influence on me. Thank you for the codes and the step by step help to get the great deal!

Grrr...I really want these but I keep getting errors on their site. I am at work (overseas) with only 3 minutes on my calling card (1-800 is not free from here) so I can't call them.

Yeah Joy!!!!
By the way... you can also use turpenoid in place of gamsol... but I guess you'd still have to find that in Japanese too.
Maybe you can order gamsol or turpenoid online too.
Joy, how long does it take for Viking to ship to Japan?

Sencie,
No one will ship gamsol over here. I think it is a hazardous material and it can't be shipped. I don't know how long it will take for the pencils to get here. We are considered the US as far as shipping costs and my estimated delivery date is Tuesday but I know that is not right. If they ship priority I might have them in 10-14 days. Can't wait! I have a japanese friend that I can ask about where to find the gamsol around here. I'm thinking of going to the DIY store to see what I can find. What section do you think it would be in?

with that coupon sometimes if you put the coupon code in first as an item then put in the code for the pencils this works and takes it off when you see the payment page. hope this helps
To GavynnsMom: When i went looking for this it is called Odorless Paint Thinner and on the back it says 100% Mineral Spirits. They use it to clean paint brushes. I hope this helps in your finding it in Japan

Gee, thanks ... I think.
I just learned about Gamsol and the Magic Colored Pencil technique today! GORGEOUS! I ordered the Prismacolor pencils a few minutes ago, thanks to you! I ve been using the lowly Crayola pencils but I've been pretty happy with them. Now with this new technique and and high quality pencils, I am sure there's no turning back. Thanks!
