I know that many of you pre-ordered the latest fab Take Ten mag (vol IV) and received it, and that some of you are even published in it. I just wanted to let others know that don't have it yet, that it is in stores...so you might want to go check it out before they are gone. I even called a local art store lastnight and they said 'no, not yet'' but today I had a minute so I decided to stop in and see for myself...sure enough it was there. I had told them the name, but neglected to say 'brown cover' ...the 'vol iv' is pretty small, and they probably didn't know what to look for.

I pre-ordered 3 months ago. I haven't gotten mine yet. Hmmm I thought that was the purpose of preordering. (getting it before it was on newstands). Well, Maybe my mailman is reading it, He seems to take forever when he is delivering anything stamp related. My hubby teases me and tells me that the mailman probably took it home for his wife to read first. My hubby is a mailman, he just tries to get me going. LOL

I must have been smoking crack... I ordered mine last week instead of just waiting for the darn thing to be at the store. So, mine will show up who knows when. What was I thinking?

Those that have gotten there's....what do you think? Fill me in...it will be awhile before I can get somewhere where I can buy one...so am so envious of you all!

Now you all are making me want to know more. I had never heard of this until someone posted a thread about the Vol. 1 being like $70 on ebay. So I was trying to look up more on this magazine. You all seemed to be crazed over it. So tell me what type of stamps are in it etc.? I know where we live you would have to order it if you really wanted it. Okay convince me I need it

That's funny. I think that about my Star Rag Magazine. I see it in the stores before I get my subscription (Yes..I admit I read it) I always think that someone at the post office is leaning back in a chair reading my magazine.
I know that the earlier volumes (i and ii) go for big $$ on ebay...I've seen vol i sell for close to $100. They only print so many and once they're gone they're gone, so if you do see it in a store and are thinking of getting it, don't think on it too long or they will be gone and you'll be out of luck.
I bought mine from a local Art supply store, if you are looking at B&N you might try on Tuesday (that's when the 'new' books/mags come out)
The mag shows all different styles of card making and various stamps are used, but a lot of SU!. It's a great resource to get ideas, but honestly there are so many great ideas on this site that it would be hard to beat...but it is nice to have when you feel like browsing and don't have a computer handy (ex. waiting for your kids after school).
Thanks for giving the link to the Take Ten "preview" pages Shelly. I was so excited to see one of my cards featured in the first page that comes up on that link. I've been told I have 9 cards in it - my first time submitting to Take Ten, so I'm really doing my happy dance! I'm now patiently waiting for my copy to arrive.
