What a neat place. Like most everyone else who is new recently, I learnt about SCS at the SU convention in Orlando.
Is anyone else in Southwestern Ohio, specifically the Dayton area? On my return flight I met some SU ladies from Cincinnati but I was hoping to link up with some ladies closer to me.
I live in Beavercreek. There are also at least 2 others who I stamp with, one lives in Enon and the other in Dayton, that come to SCS everyday. Denia, from Dayton, is our demo, although I hope to go out on my own some day.
What part of Dayton do you live in? I hope your flight went well and I am certainly jealous of all the demos that got to go
I am from the Dayton area too! I am the "other one" that Stacy is talking about that lives in Enon! (Hi Stacy!!!) I usually check SCS at least a few times a day. It is very addicting and there are a lot of really great ideas on here.
Hope you had a good time at convention! Welcome to SCS! E-mail me anytime too: [email protected]
Hi ladies ~ I'm near Akron but I thought that I would paste this thread for you to check out Forums at Splitcoaststampers.
It was from a few weeks ago but you may find some others in your area. I'm not a demo but I'm trying to talk my demo into taking me to the Regional in Cols. If you all are going maybe there can be a SCS Gathering.
I live in Huber Heights (sort of, it's city of Dayton but Huber schools and a stone's throw from Riverside) and work at the University of Dayton Research Institute. I'm a demo but except for my one recruit all of my side and upline live around Urbana so I see them only once a month. We should have a Stamper's Night Out sometime!
I'm also from Cincinnati. I have been checking SCS on a regular basis since spring. I usually just read what everyone is chatting about and look at the card samples. I think it is really neat how everyone has formed friendships through an online forum. Can't wait to see how many people from our area are SCS addicts.
I am in the columbus area! Just signed up this week to become a demo. I am planning on going to regionals! Maybe everyone can get together at my house before or after! Have our own SCS mini convention!!!
Tell you what Kim...you and I can trade...I'll move to SLC and you come back here.
I'd love to do the Columbus regional but I'm not sure I will be recovered from convention!
Who wrote about being in Huber Heights? I know exactly where you are talking about. When we first moved here, we lived off Kitridge. Huber schools but city of Dayton. Lots of cops and firemen in that area.
Anna, that was me. You must have lived in the development that's sort of behind us. We're in a new development, Bellefontaine Meadows, right near the corner of Bellefontaine & Fishburg. I have fireman on either side of me, one diagonally across the street, and a policeman diagonally across on the other side.
I like it because my brother's family is two houses away and my parents are just a few minutes away in Forest Ridge plus I grew up in this area (graduated from Stebbins).
My hubby also graduated from Stebbins, class of 86. Denia, who is my demo, and occassionally visits this board, graduated in the same class. It's amazing how small the world actually is
I know exactly where you are. My best friend lives just on the other side of Powell Rd on Bellefontaine. She is in some of the older apartments but has lived there forever. I kind of lived in the middle, New Carlisle address, Bethel Schools and went to church in Huber off of Shull Rd.
I also have an uncle in Beavercreek and my aunt is in Centerville. Thanks to Princess Mi for adding the Buckeyes link in. I love it
By the way, has anyone done any cute OSU cards or scrapbook pages? I am a huge fan. I lived in Cols for about 4 years in Reynoldsburg.
Kim when were you in Reynoldsburg...I grew up there?
We have an OSU vs. MICH party every year. This last year I made a buckeye with a penant. Didn't take any pics though. Hadn't found SCS
Slickery, We lived in Pheasant Hill, across from Forest Ridge. Now we live off of Treibein, in Fawn Ridge.
It is a small world...One of my friends when we first moved here later moved to the DC area. She met a woman there who I knew in Germany. Another woman I knew in Germany, who was my oldest DD's Sunday school teacher when she was 4 is also here. She had my DD again in another church class as a 13 yr old.
stimpyinc, which church on Shull?
Anna...who played with her convention order tonight!! hehehehe
Wow, it is a small internet. Stacy, I graduated class of 87. Maybe I know who your husband is. He probably wouldn't know me. I was one of the nerdy kids. But my maiden name was Sharon Cox. Now I go by Shae Gleason. (Sharon gets pronounced "sharin" around here and Sharon Cox wasn't the greatest name for a girl to have so when I went to college I switched to my nickname, Shae.)
Hey Michelle: Where in the Akron area? I live on North Hill. Do you know the area? My Mom lives in Uniontown and she and I and some of my friends try to get together every now and again to stamp. Maybe you'd be interested?
HI! Actually, you may know my husband. His name is Jeff Larmore. He wasn't really a nerd but he was in band and ROTC and loves computers. I will ask him tonight if he remembers you. Plus, I have the yearbooks on my counter top so I can look you up  In my previous post, I meant to say the Denia's husband also graduated from Stebbins. His name is Tony Greer. He was a jock in hs, though, on the football team, I guess. I graduated from Carroll in 89.
It sure is nice getting to know everyone on here and seeing how close we actually are
Stacy, your husband's name doesn't ring a bell but I'm not surprised. I mainly hung out with kids from church. Tony Greer rings a bell though. My brother, Jason Cox, would have been a freshman in the band the year Jeff graduated. He was one of the two tubas so he's more memorable than I was. And I shudder to think what my junior year picture would have looked like.
I'm up for a get together, Jani. My downline, Betsy, lives is Vandalia and she'd probably be up for it too.
stimpyinc...which ward were you in? I was in MAd River until we moved...now i'm in Fairborn ward.
I think a get together would be fun. My problem jsut now would be time...I don't have a huge block of time...just little bits here and there. I have two kids to take to day camp, then two otehrs to get to marching band practice, then get the younger ones from camp, next bring the older ones food and finally, picking the older ones up after band. From 9 to 9 I seem to live in the car. A Saturday would work for me, although not this Saturday as it is Celtic Fest and oldest DD is dancing.
Ok Anna, this is scarry. I was in Mad River Ward. Ok, well at least until 1993. I have visited a lot in between that time though. Email me at [email protected]. I know there are tons of people that we would both know
Since you and Stacy kept going on about SCS I figured I better start getting serious in the site. You seem to have been learning alot from here and gosh knows I need the help.
Hi everyone, I have been checking out this site for about a month now and have finally decided to post a reply. We live in Dayton near Needmore Rd and I-75. Which makes it nice for traveling we are about 25 min from Piqua and maybe 20 from Beavercreek. I am a SU demo just getting started. If anyone is interested in getting together for a day of stamping let me know.
my email address is [email protected].
Hi all,
I live in Beavercreek. I just signed up to be a demo 2 days ago. My upline is from Vandalia. We have daughters that figure skate at the Kettering Rec Center.
I'm also new to SCS.

I'm from Spokane, Washington...not that close to you. So far I haven't met anyone from Spokane on here yet. Sounds like you are linking up with others.
This thread caught my eye because we travelled east this summer. We took I-80 home except for a detour to Dayton to spend a day at the National USAF Museum. We were there on Aug. 9th, the 60th anniversary of the Bockscar dropping the bomb on Nagasaki, and the museum has the Bockscar. DH's father is retired Air Force. We stayed at the Best Western Wright Patterson, ate at the KFC near there. It was just neat to read about you all living in the towns I remember from the map - esp. Huber Heights, which apparently has a large amount of brick homes? I read up on it! Actually, we picked up a magazine about Dayton.
And we enjoyed our stay. By the way, one of you mentioned Fairfield, and I think that was the actual city listed as where the motel was.

Hello from Marshallville, Ohio! (about an hour south of Cleveland) I know that I'm no where near Dayton, but I wanted to get in on the fun, too! AND I would be interested in more info about this overnight in Sugar Creek! I'm lucky to have A LOT of Stampin' Up people around here, and I have a wonderful upline. Have been a SU demo since May but have yet to drum up any business (except for myself...I'm my best customer!) Everyone have a great week!!
