Default TARGET Finds!

Just wanted to let everyone know that I found some great buys at Target this morning!
They have marked down most of their stationary items and they had some very cute tags 25 for $4.18 in different colors and shapes - gosh so many things such short memory! Also the magazine holders (the kind that are plastic and stand up) in clear for $1.32....

Also all the Asia, Europe ..... collections were 75% off! I got a couple neat boxes red with a window at one end for $4.49 also tons of baskets..... I dont know what I will do with any of them right now but they were such a good deal and pretty!!!
OH and some metal tags and glass pebbles....

I was there for almost 2 hours and had a ball!!!

Let us know what you find!

I also have some really good buys at Target this past couple of weeks. My Target seems to have put everything on clearance, so much stuff to buy because of it and still not enough money!!

I am so jealous of all of you that have Targets close by. We had three in Lansing, Michigan when I lived there. Last summer we moved to Lima, Ohio and they do not have a Target!!???
The closest one is an hour away.
Everytime you guys find something I really need to have, I have to email one of my stamping buddies in MI and beg her to look for it.
The good news is that we are suppossed to be getting a Target. They have land bought but no definate plans of when to start building. I am having Target withdrawals!!

OOOH - I'll have to hit Target today on my way home (although it should be snowing by then!) Spent about $60 yesterday, but didn't have a chance to look much at the "Bazaar" stuff that was 50% off - if it's now 75% I just can't resist! Thanks for the alert!

Tokane4 - I was in your same shoes for 3 +years when we lived in Mississippi - Target was just over an hour away and we only took about 4 trips a year cuz we always spent too much! Now it is 5 minutes away and I know that we spend too much in there!!!

So consider it a savings plan!! Just stash some $ aside every payday for your Target trips!!!!!!

Hey "scrapinmom" - I went to ASU too!! Loved it! I was there from 1990-1994. My hubby is actually from San Angelo so we get back there every now and then to visit!!

Lots of great Target stuff here too! More than I can mention. I really need a night alone there without the kids!!!

I was at Target today and found the ribbon holders for 2.98. I just put it together and love it. They only hold six ribbons so I had to get quite a few but at that price you can afford to.

I'm puzzled..the ribbon organizers I got @ Target a few weeks ago hold
many more ribbon spools than 6, like the ones you're talking about, even
with the dividers that are included. In fact I just counted & I have 14 spools in one and 13 in the other. Maybe the difference is that I am running 3 ribbons thru each of the 6 slots. The spools are in there snug,
but they still pull thru the slots easily.

Can someone tell me where in Target did you find these ribbon holders? I've seen a picture of them and I even know that they're flat -- that you have to put them together. But when I went to Target, I couldn't find them and when I asked an employee about it and tried to describe it, they didn't know either.

What section are they in? Are they in all Targets or just the Super Targets?

funny/annoying :? Target $1 section story!!

I'm looking around at all the new stuff, run into this lady with her hands full of stuff, we start talking about how awful this section is & how it draws us into Target just to see the stuff.... I go around the corner, come back for my cart - which had stuff in it, no cart but I see her walking off with a CART!!! Wonder who's it was...

OH MY GOODNESS! I went back to Target at 3:30 when I picked my dd up from school - thought I should have gotten another one of those baskets to put in my linen closet - - well it was WIPED OUT! There was one of the smaller same style baskets left and I grabbed it up but our of the 2 isles plus a huge floor space of clearance there was only MAYBE one shelf left!!! People have gone crazy over this 75% off stuff!!!! As if I were not one of those people!!!

Anyway I went back over to the $1 section to get a couple more of the little sticker things I got for scrapbooking and such and all the paper was gone and most of all the stickers too! About 1/2 of the dollar section had been wiped out too!!! I guess I need to make friends with one of the managers there and find out what the restocking days are so I don't miss out on anything!!

I also sent my sister to her Target and she said the prices were not as good there so maybe they will be in another day but she said that things were pretty well picked over already

Hope ya'll had good luck finding some great deals!

You all are to blame!!!

I hadn't even planned on going to Target because we are at the end of the month, low on funds days, right now but I was going to go to Walgreens. Well, my daughter had a $5 gift card she wanted to spend. Usually I would say, wait until this weekend but after hearing about Target deals I had to go take a peek so the two of us headed in there instead.

I only made it to the dollar section and the office supply (was looking for mailers) section, but whew! I cannot wait until Monday. I did pick up some charms and mini clothespins in the $ section then I bought a pack of 48 Geometric paper clips in red/green/blue/prple on clearance. They had so much more I could have easily picked up. Including the mini colored staplers/staples, though they were in the office supply section marked down to $1.38.

Someone mentioned ribbon holders...where in the store are they? I REALLY need to get some of those. Thanks, in advance.

Photocropper-

I wish Laughlin was in San Angelo and not Del Rio. My family lived there for year and a half and San Angelo must be a paradise in comparison. Del Rio had a super Walmart and that was it! I guess when we left they were thinking about building a Target. Gotta love Target!

Mindy - San Angelo was nothing big when we were here 10 years ago but now I am as happy as can be!! Target, Big Lots, Dollar General stores, Dollar Tree, Super Walmart, Office Depot and Office Max, Bed Bath and Beyond is opening soon, Pier One, Old Navy, HOBBY LOBBY that has just been enlarged!! Gosh I could go on - OHOHOH even a scrapbooking store that holds crops and all you have to do is bring a dish to share for the fee!!!!! My friend lives here and we are going to go crop together!
ANYWAY I am very well happy with all that but my pocket book is not doing so well  I guess it could have been worse and I could be unhappy!!!

I found the mini clothes pins too but I still have not found the mini stapler or the ribbon boxes...... HMMMM..... someone must have gotten to them first - I did however get the paper 10 for $1 12x12 sheets!

OK YA'LL I need to feed the family they are fighting over the goldfish so they must be hungry!!!!!

GOOD LUCK!

A couple of people asked...and I have been wondering, too...where are the ribbon holders found in Target? And are the Target stores with these great finds called Super Targets? Thanks.

I have 3 Targets in my area. Only 1 is a Super Target. All 3 have the
Dollar Spots. The ribbon organizer boxes were hanging on an end cap
around the stationery/wrapping paper area. They are in a long, narrow,
sort of flat pkg. because they are not assembled. (Easily snap together)
I paid $5.99 ea for the ones I got a few weeks ago. Yesterday on SCS
I saw that they were reduced to maybe $4.99 and today I think some-
one said they found them on clearance for $2.98 each. So if your are
lucky enough to find any left, that's a great price! Hope you're lucky
enough to grab a couple!

Shelley, were you the one looking for them in the other thread about Target? If so, I thought of you, almost picked one up but wasn't sure I'd be able to find the thread or even who it was so I didn't think about it. If they are still there when I go back next week I'll grab you one or two (they had red, green, blue) if you'd like.

Mary, mine is not a super Target, I'm not even sure if we have any here though we have Targets everywhere (in and around St. Louis).

By the looks of my Target and overhearing the converstations of the "regional managers" that were there yesterday they are trying to get rid of a lot of stuff right now because the new product lines are coming in next month (March I am guessing) so everything that is on clearance will probably not come back or be back in different colors for spring - that is just my guess! I hope I am right because there was a lot of good stuff they are selling off!

As for the ribbon organizers - I never found one - but I did find the wrap organizer and it was in the stationary section on the endcap on clearance. So I am guessing that the ribbon ones are already gone....

If someone can post the name or manufacturer then maybe we can find them somewhere online - but again I am hoping they will come out in pastel colors or something for spring/summer line!

I am going to go back and hit the dollar spot again and see if they replace the last items that were gone with something new or refill them I may just have to ask someone how that works so I will know for next time I run across something I just have to have!!

My Target also had a huge aisle of clearance stationery stuff-- I found really nifty suede boxes that are just the right size for cards. They look like an envelope with a flap that tucks in to a strap. I got a blue one with orange stitching and a pink one with blue stitching. They weren't dirt cheap($5.5, but they are absolutely adorable! I give special friends sets of gift cards in reusable containers like this and include a note that the empty container will be refilled if returned to me. Last year I used plastic cd boxes that I found at Target, but they only hold 6-8 cards, depending on embellishments and layers.

I struck out on the colored staplers, though, and am I ever disappointed!! I have all these great ides for them in my mind, but no way to put them into practice!

I'm hostage to a sick child today-- stampin' stuff, here I come!!
