So this challenge was suggested by mocjen. It was inspired by a card by tayloredexpressions. I had been inspired by this card to dye and ENTIRE roll of white SU grosgrain different colors in 2 yd segments. Aside from learning that you should wear rubber gloves to do this, I am thrilled with the results. I hope you are as inspired by this card and color combo!
Please put CC77in your keywords section (and if you have more than one challenge use a comma to separate them) so we can find your card! If you need help uploading click here!
As always, I am open to suggestions for future color challenges! Please pm me if you have one. Including a sample is always appreciated! I will probably not respond, as I get several, but I save them for future reference!
Thanks for the cool challenge, I have been wanting to dye some ribbon too, so here is my chance...wow two new things for me this week and it is only Monday night!
Thanks for posting early Emily! I love these colors together and I'm not tired yet, so I threw together a card from some left-over m&t kits. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Emily, Ditto on the thanks for posting early. I wasn't sure I would have time to play tomorrow so I was just working on the envelopes and inside of some christmas cards while I was stalking and just happened to check the challenge and there it was. I just had to keep a few things out and try it. It's a little basic and looks much better in real life but it was the first time I used my Iridescent Ice Embossing powder which I've been dying to use since I got it a month ago. Thanks for looking. Pammyrn sent me this wonderful Penny Black stamp - which I love, love, love!!! Thanks again, Pam. Anyway, I thought it would be perfect for this color challenge. Hope you like it too!
Oh, you ladies are just killing me here today -- I just got all that new paper and ink, and I have new stamps -- and I have guests sleeping in my stamp room -- what a predicament!!!! I'll try (very hard) to do a quick card if they leave this afternoon for a bit!!! I'm chomping at the bit -- your cards so far are GORGEOUS -- love these colors!!!
Oh, yes, Emily, thanks so much for posting early -- I didn't realize you were posting earlier -- love these early posts (when I'm able to stamp)!!! Thanks!!!
Yeah! I got it done before leaving for work! Thanks again Em, for posting early! I cheated and used mustard grosgrain, because I didn't have time to dye ribbon and let it dry. Thanks for looking!
