I was soooo nervous after mailing away my application for the starter kit! I was trying to make my first swap cards afterwards, and I threw a bunch away in disgust, asking myself what I thought I was doing! I've been stamping for a couple of years, and really wanted to share my new passion with more people, but I really got an attack of the eeeeek's.
I felt so much better after finding this site, it's a life saver! Seeing so many people with the same worries as me and so many encouraging posts, I feel like I can really do this! I was so excited last night I couldn't sleep, even though I haven't even set a date for my first open house. All these ideas kept running through my head, and instead of being nervous, I'm now starting to feel like I'm doing the right thing.
I can't wait to check out every nook and cranny of this wonderful place! Thanks to the admins, and all the people who I see posting with advice and encouragement for creating such a nice environment. I look forward to starting my own gallery soon, so I can share my cards and get your feedback.
Congratulations! It is so nice to see yet another Canadian here. Enjoy SCS. Everyone here is absolutely wonderful, you'll be inspired and excited about stamping each time to log on!

2014 Stamping goal: 5 Christmas cards a month
Hi from MA! I was very nervous starting as a demo, too. I had only stamped for the first time 3 months before joining and getting bookings wasn't easy and I got very discouraged. I've only been a demo for 2 1/2 yrs!
I found this ad from Fiskars about a year after joining and it's been my pick-me-up ever since!
"whein i give a gift i made myself
first i feel proud, excited and thoughtful
then i feel embarrassed and silly
and then i feel like i've given the best present i could give...
a part of me...
and then i feel embarrassed again."
Hope it helps - just smile and keep on truckin'! Meghan
Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome! ShortStamper, that sums up exactly how I feel when I give my cards! Nothing's quite so personal, and 'out there' as giving something you made yourself.
Stampress, I know what you mean about not being able to log off... I even did the unthinkable today and logged in from work! Bad Stamples!;)
You would be very surprised to know how many SCS stampers are logging in at work...everyone is "hooked" we are a hopeless, helpless group when it comes to Stamping and SCS! LOL!
