There is a new thread entitled "Ariel Sharon" - if I remember correctly, it's in General Stamping. The links it includes are pornographic.

Pretty much if you are questioning a link and see that it is their first post. It's most likely a bad post. Especially if there is a page of links.

Really infuriates me how these spammers are able to weasel their way in here by registering, posting a bunch of nasty links and then leaving. I guess a link about Israel's prime minister in General Stamping should have been a clue, but then again we have newbies who haven't learned their way around the site posting things in the incorrect forum section all the time.

Thanks for the warning! Let's all make sure we do our part to "stamp out" spam on the message boards!

Christie, the fastest way to get something like this taken care of is to use the "report" button on the offending thread. If you look down underneath your avatar, down towards the bottom of the post, you'll see a little " * " button. That's the "Report Bad Post" button, and by using it, the thread will immediately be forwarded to a mod. It will more than likely be seen before posts here....

Looks like the mods may be busy today. The thread will go away as soon as they get the report.

Again, the best way to get the post removed is to click the * button, not post in Site Suggestions. The * button reports the post to all moderators.

Also after you click the * button, don't forget to post a message to the thread that it has been reported, lest the mods get 100 people all reporting the same thread! :grin:

Wow...guess I got my SCS education for the day! LOL! I saw that someone had posted "reported" after the initial post, but I didn't see that until after I had panicked and tried to warn people. So...thanks for letting me know how things like this work, ladies! Happy Sunday afternoon to all!!
