Default inkjet vellum

Does anyone know where to get inkjet vellum? I didn't know there was such a thing until I got my Papercraft magazine. No wonder my vellum always smears when I use my printer.

Thanks.

i use regular vellum in my printer and it has never smeared. i do set the printer on specialty paper before it prints. maybe it's your printer??

Check your printer settings. Mine has one for transparency that I use. Be careful though the ink may still need to dry for a few minutes after it is printed.

Some brands work better than others, as well as checking your printer settings, too.

I use SU! vellum paper as I found it works best for me and my printer. I have a HP 1210.

I just checked a viking and didn't see ink jet vellum, but I did discover that they have quite a few colors of vellum, green, orchid, canary, blue, all pastels. It was about $7 for 250 sheets.

Office Depot.com has 50 sheets of ink jet vellum for $9.95. They also have colored Card Stock vellum.

Hi,

I get my ink jet vellum from Marco's..

<http://www.marcopaper.com>

In fact, I get all my paper from Greg, but always at Convention...

The Cougar type paper that Debbie Gimble recommends for the Gamsol & coloured pencil technique is also available from there....

Don't have the pkg handy, but I did notice that it seems to be a little bit heavier than regular vellum, and made some really neat tags...

Thanks for all the help. I have a new Epson stylus photo R320 printer. I will check the settings and see if that helps.

The transparency setting that Scrap4fun mentioned is supposed to lay down less ink on the paper, which will reduce the chance of smearing. I also have an Epson printer -- let us know how it goes!
