Woo hoo! I got a coupon from Michael's for 20 percent off my entire purchase, just in time to stalk up the essentials for VSN. Anybody else getting good deals on the VSN shopping list items?
I pretty much have everything on the list already, so no shopping trip for me. :( Though, I did want to find some white staz-on. I know i can order it, but it wouldn't get here in time.... I struck out on that.... Not that I *needed* it.... but kinda wanted to try it out.
My LSS has their rubber stamps 25% off right now. DD was throwing a bit of a fit, so I didn't get to really look that long and ended up buying nothing. :(
I don't know if you guys have an AC Moore near you but if you go to their website you can sign up to get a coupon emailed to you each week and it's always at least 40% off!

I had to get some things on the list and had two coupons each for Michael's and Joann's so DH checked out my glue at both stores while I got other things.
We went to a Hobby Lobby yesterday which is not very close to us, anyway I saw white StazOn there.
Hey Denise this worked for my daughter anytime we went into a store. I always had the candy necklace or smarties for her to have when we went shopping and she was busy and quiet. She still remembers those and talks about it at 32! Oh but if you do a lot shopping go easy on the candy, it's hard on the teeth!!!

I planned on hitting two stores, though I'm not sure Michaels would have carried it. But after DD was fussing, we went home after one store. (I live just a few blocks away from both a Michaels and Crafts Direct, which is one of the largest craft stores in the upper midwest.... Kind of dangerous to live so close to both!) I goofed by not bringing a snack with for her... and I think she was getting hungry... so totally my fault! The odd thing, Crafts Direct had empty pads, but no white reinkers. I think there was a spot for it on the shelf, but they've been out every time I looked.

Just today and three others until VSN!!! YAY!!! I can't wait.
I LOVE the 'guy' challenge.... but my guy will be.... yup... you guessed it.... CAMPING this weekend! He'd probably be very good at a challenge.... he is very clever and creative!!! *sniffle* that would have been fun to see!!
I'm stalking again! I've done all my shopping for items on the shopping list, I stocked up on Starbucks bottled frappucino (going to use the bottles later to make one of those gift packs like Propecia made awhile back), and VSN-approved food (ie. chocolate!) for easing snacking. All I have left is clearing the digital camera card and clearing my stamping space. I can't wait til Friday!

I'm ready, I just cleaned up my area, and have my camera battery charging. I just forgot shaving cream at the store today, I'll have to pick some up tomorrow. I can't wait!

Ok, I have a question (may be very dumb, sorry, but this is my first VSN). I've got my area all set up, all the supplies set in a bin, a dozen favorite stamp sets out (trying to be organized).
My ?? -- Are we limited to the supplies list? What I mean is, can we use additional accessories/embellishments? (I don't know how this works...but for example...if a challenge is using the shaving cream technique and we create our basic card/technique...can we still emboss, or add eyelets, or ribbon, or whatever?)
Please excuse my ignorance on this...just wondering what else I can use/prepare ahead of time. Thanks a bunch for your understanding and assistance.

You are absolutely allowed to other stuff. It's just that some of the challenges require certain things.... that's what the shopping list was for - if any challenges had special requirements. But that doesn't mean you are limited to what's on the list.
I am so excited about VSN tonight. I haven't done it since May! Where do I sign up for the emails? I can't seem to find that and I'd appreciate some help!

I'm cleaning and organizing my desk right now (if I can manage to tear myself away from SCS). What a huge difference it made when I was set up with the list of supplies and tidied up between challenges. Right now my desk looks like who did it and ran. Ummm, I think that was me

You just show up in the VSN Forum tonight, and the challenges will be posted there. I think the challenge thread is going to be locked so that no one can post to it, but I think that also prevents you from subscribing to it. We'll see what we can do!
