I love those gel cards. I think it is an amazing technique, but I don't know where I can find the mini zip lock bags? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a bunch.

Cake decorating shops usually have tons of them, from super, super tiny and up. Also, if you feel up to it, look in the yellow pages under box and bag. There may be a local or mail order company that sells all kinds of bags including lunch sacks, kraft and white gift bags, etc. You usually have to buy in some kind of bulk, but the savings are  !!! And you can always peddle the extras!
They have them at Paper Zone, and Michael's.
I just got some yesterday at Michael's, size 3x4. It is a package of 100 for $1.49. They had a lot of other sizes too.

I, too, found mine at Wal-mart --- just not on the first try. The second time to the store I asked one of the clerks in the craft section if they would be getting more in ... she then opened up a drawer under the cutting table and pulled out some bags of them and asked me how many I wanted!!! Apparently the local druggies use the bags to package small amounts of drugs to sell and they were coming in and buying up every package that was put out...someone tipped off the store to what was happening and they started only putting out a few bags at a time and keeping the extras in a drawer to give to bone fide crafters needing them for "legitimate" purposes.
This is what it has come to - condoms at the checkout stand and craft bags kept under lock and key
I tried it over the weekend and learned something--my sister has a "Seal-O-Matic." It's an older device used to seal bags for the microwave and freezer. She used it on Ziploc snack-size bags to make smaller bags for the gel. It worked great! (You basically put the bag in there and close the lever. It cuts and seals the bags within seconds). Soooo, if any of you ladies have one of these in your cupboard, check it out! Wish I did!
