I just got the new Creating Keepsakes Top Ten issue and in the back (p 21 there is an ad for ribbon storage. I just went to their website and I LOVE IT! What a great solution to ribbon storage with easy access to one spool at a time. I currently have mine on a dowel rod and if I want a spool that's in the middle, well you know the drill. It's a pain.
OMG, I haven't been this excited in a very long time (well, not counting the release of the new mini, the great SU! specials...)
Anyway, can you tell if it has a cover? It almost looks as if the cover splits in two and slides into the sides (like TV entertainment doors do--know what I mean?)

It appears that way. The picture in the mag has the doors closed and it is clasped in the center. I think your description is exactly the way it closes.
Isn't if funny the things we stampers get excited over?!

The items at www.stampnstore.com are just like what I have from Walmart. I got the drawer organinzers (like you would use for silverware) and they are so great for wheels and cartridges. The best part is they are only $2-$3 vs. StampnStore at $14.
As for Ribbons, I am still working on those. I LOVE the one this post offers. It is soooo wonderful but pricey! So back to the drawing board for ribbons............
Did anyone notice that the Craftlocker ribbon storage is already out of stock? I wish you guys would just PM me directly when you see all these neat things so the whole world doesn't find out before I do! I wonder if there are salespeople for these companies who pose as stampers and scrapbookers on these websites just to advertise their products? Once SCS finds out about some great product, it seems they're sold out almost immediately.

So very blessed and so very thankful.
God is good.
I think they've been out of stock for awhile. I checked their website last week and they were already out of stock. I've seen the ads in the mags for a month or two at least.....hmmm
dljames - so walmart doesn't have anything wide enough for the ribbons? Can the ones you have already be mounted on the wall?
My name is Tracey and I have been a STUP Demonstrator for 6 years + and a member of Splitcoast for some time now. I have been monitoring the site patiently waiting see when someone would post about CraftLocker!
I am the designer and developer for these products. As tempted as I was to start a thread, I decided to wait until one of you did! In answer to the question about whether someone from the company is posing just to advertise - - absolutley not!
So happy to see that you are excited about our products! If you have visited the website: www.craftlocker.com you have seen that we are temporarily out of stock. We know this is frustrating for anyone who is interested in our products, but we're working as fast as we can to make them available to all who are interested. Please be patient - - we hope to be taking online orders near the beginning of March. We have mostly sold out of our first shipment to scrapbooking stores all over the country who will soon have product in their stores!
We are interested in your comments! I hope that you will all appreciate products that are designed BY a stamper FOR stampers, scrapbookers, and crafters everywhere!
I have a storage system that costs 1/10th of what that does. You take a pants hanger and just put your ribbon in it. Works wonders and doesn't cost so much ~ for those of us on a budget, it's a great deal.
I used the hangers for a while, but I have since gone to the gutter method of storage someone once posted here. The gutter is WAY cheap, off my table, and easy to get to.
I made my own ribbon storage. I used metal cutters to cut the bottom portion off a wire hager. I then threaded my ribbon on the wire where it was cut and then placed the two cut ends in a piece of styrofoam that I had left from the packaging of a toy I had bought. The piece of styrofoam is about 2 inches tall, 2 inches wide and 7 inches long. It was free and it is relatively easy to access and take off and add new ribbon. The ribbon is now easily accessible as it it literally hanging on the hanger, and keeps my craft area more organized. Hopefully this is makes sense.
