Do you put them in a sample book - like a photo album?
Do you use them?
Do you give them away to hostesses?
I've participated in quite a few swaps lately and am unsure what I want to do with the samples I received. I think I want to keep them for the ideas - but I could always upload them to my computer and have the ideas there too...
I have the same problem!! I'm hooked on swaps but just put all of the cards in a drawer for a rainy day! There are quite a few i *plan* on case-ing but so far have just loved looking over the details of others work. I think eventually I will put them in a notebook to take to workshops...I had a past demo who placed a binder full of cards out on the table and we loved going through it, people were always amazed at all the cool things they could do with stamps!!
I keep all my cards in a 3-ring notebook; it's easy to leaf thru them when I want to send a card or am looking for inspiration. The swaps go in a different section of the book. I'm not a demo, so I don't have any hostesses to give them to, but I think it would be a great idea!
Or if you've got too many & can bear to part with them, you could make cards for troops.
I store mine in rubbermade photo boxes. I have a great photo album that they all fit in. I rotate cards in and out of the album to share with customers at workshops, classes etc. They love seeing all the ideas. I honestly do not use them much for card ideas, LOL when I need card ideas I always come here to visit the gallery.
seriously I love love creating so I do use the cards I make (I make sure I do the swaps that are for full cards and are meant to be used and just not demoed)
Last year I participated ina bunch of Holiday card swaps and it was so much fun to go thru all the cards I received and "match" them with the person I was sending it to. I plan to do the same this year...
However since I use them for my own personal enjoyment and sending there are usually some that aren't my style - not to say they aren't great cards just not "me" so those I will offer to friends or give to the local Ronald McDonald house. I also own up my card box to family - my sister was in town and recently went through my box and pulled out about 10 or so to take with her...
I do have a few set aside where I just love the layout that I have a separate box so that I can CASE somewhere down the line...

I keep the ones that I like and then copycase them. So far they are just sitting in some shoe boxes, but I have plans for a 3 ring binder.
From there I look at the others and see if there is something I like about them. 'cuz let's face it, not all swap cards you recieve are your style (was that polite enough). I put them in a different box and go back to sort through them later to decide if I could make them better or if I will do with the 3rd box.
Box #3 is the box of cards that I really, really don't like. I make them into a full card w/ envy and take them to the local nursing home for the residents to be able use them. I know that scs sends cards to the troops, but I already had this in place before I found scs.
I'm with Jenni; I'm not a demo so I always join full-card swaps and use the cards I get.
After a swap, I e-photo the cards so I can keep the ideas and refer to them later. Then, I use the cards. Some, I have to take apart and remat (I won't send a card that has a label on it -- but I do leave personalized stamp by marks -- because I think they look 'tacky' [NO OFFENSE INTENDED]). But most get sent out.
If I end up with cards that aren't my style, then I donate them (either to someone collecting on this board, or to local charities that can use them).
I usually put them out in one or two baskets at a workshop for guests to look through. It usually catches their interest and is more interactive than a notebook. I don't think they get too banged up.
When I'm ready to rotate out some swaps, I either use them (making full cards out them) myself, give to hostesses, give as door prizes or give to a new recruit.
Always fun to see what others are doing regardless of what you do with them!
I am a COMPULSIVE SWAPPER- I have 3 baskets and two shoebox size totes FULL of swaps. I am a demo so I usually put a basket or two out at workshops. But I also use alot of them for ideas. There is SO MUCH talent on this site. To top it off, I actually have 3 swaps to go out in the next week. One has 29, one has 11, one has 10. I cannot wait to get back my swaps!!! Sorry- I got a little excited! :oops:
Join one or two if you get a chance-you won't regret it.
I usually try to join swaps that are for particular sets so I can make set samplers with them (I'm a demo).
I did a couple with the Oriental stamps last year. They were for full cards so we could use them, but the work was so fabulous I haven't been able to part with any of them.

Half-page cards fit perfectly and won't slip out or stick out the top because the pockets are big enuf to fit CDs. The way the card fits, the entire card is covered & won't slip out. Make sure you get the CD holders; the photo holders are a tad too small.

Ive still got all of mine from the Asian swaps too!! They were all good and some were stupendous!
RE: card fronts vs. full card swaps: I'm not a demo so at first I only wanted full card swaps but card fronts are cheaper to mail & of course you can mount them on your own CS to make full cards.
