I have a friend from church who collects lighthouses. So I'm going to make her some cards using the Coast to Coast set. Well .... since she collects them, I want to make sure I have them colored right! So I looked them up on the internet, using the list that Stampin' Up! provided:
Check out the Monterey Bay lighthouses!! There is one in Monterey(Pacific Grove) and one by Big Sur, this one has a website, though I don't know it. My DH found it once. The farthes lighthouse on the westcoast, Blanco in Oregon, used to have a website, but it has been awhile since I've checked.
I had some friends whose last name was Light. Their answering machine said, "Hi, this is the Light House." LOL
Thanks for posting this, those pictures are amazing. There's a lighthouse on the stretch of beach between San Francisco and Santa Cruz, too, at Pigeon Point.

Thanks for the information. I gave someone a card using this set once. She looked at it, then said, "Those aren't the right colors." Not that she will get another one  but the next person will get the right colors.
Thanks for the information. I used this set at a Stamp A Stack the other week and my ladies from Michigan were up in arms, because there wasn't one from Michigan - I thought they were going to get really, really mad............
Thanks! I gave this set to a friend of mine on her birthday because she loves lighthouses. I'm going to send this list to her so she can see the originals!
NC has a ton too and you have to figure out which is which by the swirls or non-swirls or....too many factors. Thanks for posting this. Much more leg work and info than SU! Love it!!
My BIL got married in Maine last summer, and while there, I visited the Portland Headlight. I knew I was going to get Coast to Coast to scrapbook the pictures, but when I looked at the catalog and realized that there was a stamp of that EXACT lighthouse, I was elated. Here are the results.
Thank you so much - I'm a lighthouse nut too (still don't have this set, but it's on my list!)
I just finally got them, after staring at it in the catalog for about a year and a half! Now I take it out of the box and tell it goodnight everynight before I go to bed! Just Kidding!!!!!
Thanks for the info --- I'm just going to order them now after looking at them in the catalog for so long and saying I'm gonna get that set. Thanks again.

Sometime I should load my scrapbook pages into the gallery when we went to the Yaquina Head lighthouse in Oregon. If you can get to the Oregon Coast on a perfectly clear, sunny day (believe me that's not easy!) the ocean will look turquoise on pictures. I have amazing photos of this lighthouse. I love lighthouses and I really think I should get this set someday. How long has SU sold it? (I'm fairly new to SU, only been a customer for 2 years) They would make good masculine cards.
